I ended up getting a Fulltone Octafuzz.

I realized I sold my last Octavia based pedal a few years ago. It will go on my Hendrix/Trower pedalboard.

Thank you again!!!!

You guys are the best!

An ammo box full of 50 BMG API rounds.

fixed.

I had the old big box version. I just didn't ever vibe with octafuzz though tonewise it had a nice sound. I had some friends that did some amazing things with them and I'm sure you will too. Awesome clips and playing man, as ever.

Old school Dunlop UV-1 is great, and apparently they ARE still servicing them. The Fulltone with the pedal speed control is quality. Neither of those options are cheap though.

Got a Strymon Ultraviolet on the way, should be here tomorrow! They had a Fulltone with the pedal but it was like $450 and I didn’t want a vibe THAT bad.

Love to hear what you think of it!

I ended up spending my money on a Music Nomad feeler gauge tool for doing fret work as well as their fret polishing kit, since their rough ass 240 grit crowning file really chews up the sides of the frets.

I used vibes in the 90's but it was never for more than a couple songs on the set list so I found myself leaving it at home more often than not. Eventually I cut it down to just an OD, lol. Granted I had never even heard of a "pedalboard" back then so I'd haul them in boxes and chain them together at the show.

This year is the first year I've started hauling a small 3 pedal board again.

What money? LoL

Just bought this. I did not like the digital Boss BF-3.
I owned quite a few of these years ago..
Sounds killer.

I had a Strymon Orbit for a while...now I understand why they colored it the way they did...same hue as that Boss. It was excellent and could do just about any flange tone you needed. It was more for fooling around with pedal steel during covid than anything serious so I sold it a while back.

I have one. It is a great flanger.

Thank you again, @Omnipotent1 and @VonBonfire!

This will definitely hold me over until I'm ready to drop some silly money on a big ass non-pedalboard friendly vibe!

You're welcome Drew, thanks for entering and thanks for showing off what you got with your prize money! Nice job all around! The real thanks goes to @Omnipotent1 who pushed me to run another contest. Hopefully he catches your post!

There are a lot of nice vibes out there. A few of the ones that have always had my interest were the Dunlop UV-1 w/foot control (owned one, excellent), Effectrode Tube Vibe, The Fulltone Deja-Vibe with the foot control, and the Roland Nu-Vibe seems amazing. There are more nice vibes out there than I am even aware of anymore. I will say I have seen and heard an original Shin-Ei vibe a volume with a strat and a nice super reverb and vs any other vibes I've heard it is the most whooshy and rich sounding but it is also kinda fragile and a little too valuable to be stomping on at $500 gigs, lol. Have fun on the hunt, the Strymon unit you have there is sounding real good.

Damnnnnnn @DrewJD82 thanks for sharing!!! That pedal sounds killer brother! I was just checking out a few demos on it, that little box can do a lot! Great vintage vibes 😍 you know I love the strymon stuff but still have yet to get a pedal of theirs.. lol always wanted to try the big sky & timeline. They’re a pretty penny tho. This killed it with this ultraviolet. Cool video by The Captain & Danish Pete putting it through its paces:

I’ve been playing the shit out of it this week, it’s killer!!! Depending on the kind of gain structure you’ve got going on with the amp, the different settings can really tailor it to what you’re doing.

I recently started digging on Philip Sayce and his univibe tones are ridiculous- killer song here with some fantastic fucking playing and tone!!! This is the vibe tone I’m aiming for that I assume I’ll have to get via expensive vibe.

According to google he's using a KR Mega Vibe=$$$$

I honestly think there are several cheaper options that would put you in that ball park.
