What are your favorite Bogner amps?

My favourite Bogner is my Ecstasy 20th Ani with EL34s. I’ve never played any other Bogners so can’t comment on those!
Had one, but it was just too loud for the bedroom

jB45 is my new favorite Bogner.
Can you share what you like/dislike about it? I'm close to buying one and the YouTube videos I have seen are mixed -- in some videos the gain stages sound rich/full, but in other videos the gain can sound too bright/thin (as compared to a Helios 50w/100w).

If you want to send me a DM, that's fine.

I just played my second gig with it and both times the sound guy mentioned how great my guitar sounded.
It's definitely not a bright amp. I run the treble pretty high, same with Presence.
This amp just covers all the old school Marshall tones I like. Plenty of gain and this amp is thick. Pedal friendly, unlike the Helios 50 or 100.

I just bought a JB45 on REVERB last night. Hoping to unbox it over the Thanksgiving weekend and begin dialing in my favorite tone for each channel and then testing it with my Les Paul R9 and PRS to get a sense of whether it will cover the full tone range that I need, so I might not have to hunt down a Telos after all.

Gotta love a happy sound guy! I thought in open/loose mode it was pretty bright. Not in a bad way..but pretty cutting like a Marshall as you mentioned. Such a great amp!

Yeah - I discovered quickly that the Open/Loose excursion setting increased the volume dramatically as well as the edge/bite. Probably awesome at live performing levels, but too much for jamming at low volume (I keep mine set in Vintage/Focused).

I had a 101B about 15 years ago and it was a dream come true. Wish I could’ve kept it.

Now I have a Helios Eclipse that I’ve used almost exclusively for the last 7 years. Love it.

I wanted a Rev Blue Uberschall for years but always missed my opportunities. Now they’re out of reach (and I don’t really need a heavy sounding amp anymore).

How would you describe the sound difference between the Helios Eclipse and a Helios 50w?

I've been thinking of adding a Helios 50w (or Snorkler 50w) to my JB45 for a different/bigger gain sound.

Helios Eclipse has the ability to get much more gain.

Regular Helios: 70's mode, think modded JMP. Hot 3 stage circuit. 80's mode adds clipping diodes to that for a bit more gain and compression. Really cool amp; retains alot of Marshall "rawness" in terms of response and feel.

I have only limited time behind the snorkler, but compared to a Helios, it is thicker and gainer. Also much more Bogner in feel, in that is super duper easy to play!!
