Hack
I am thinking of getting a second cab so that I can run a full stack again. I have the Mills afterburner loaded with Redbacks. It is a badass cab, but I am looking for a second cab to complement it.

Right now I am down to an EVH cab or a Bogner uber cab. But I am open to other ideas.

I had two Splawn cabs with his duratex coating. Those cabs were very directional and boomy - they didn’t breathe persay. I had them loaded with V30s and small blocks. I feel like he was going for the overbuilt rock solid tone and the cabs weren’t hefty enough and did this weird in between thing. Their build quality was amazing but tonally I wasn’t a fan.

I'll second the Diezel FL. It is very tight, but it sounds great with everything I've played through it. Mine's the K100 version. I've been running modern stuff like VH4, Herbert, VHT UL, SLO100, Mark III, and some older stuff like Hiwatt DR504 and various Marshalls. It just works for whatever I throw at it.

I've got an Ubercab and, while it's great for what it does, it's more scooped than the Diezel and doesn't work as well for some things. It's a great cab, too, though, just not nearly as versatile.

I like the front loaded idea. I just don't know if i would dig a redback/k100 mix

Yeah, no idea what they'd sound like together. Diezel makes a V30 version, too. I'm probably not the right one to say anything about the Redbacks. I had some in a Bogner cab once and I just didn't like what they did. Maybe I didn't give them a chance to break in, lots of people say great things about them. The K100 is fairly neutral for a Celestion.

Yeah. When I first got them, they were way bright and harsh. I was a little disappointed coming from H30s. But then they broke in, and pure sex.

Only another Mills will sound balanced with the first Mills (I’ve tried two at the same time). I found these cabs required wildly different settings to sound their best compared to Bogner, Marshall, Wizard, and even compared to other oversized cabs like the Mesa OS. And stay the fuck away from Vader cabs unless you like flat sterility to the extreme.
