This bad boy....

This one......everything I love about LPs, and nothing I don't. I got rid of a few others after this one showed.

The wood, the neck size and the pups and how they work with my amp and playing style just killed all my other guitars. I rarely play anything else anymore.

That brings back memories, had one back in the late 80's, great neck on those. Sold her to fund a tricycle, wish I had held on to her though.

Used to be this one

Now is this one

Just so comfortable to play...and of course sounds huge through my Randall!

Luke

A '07 American deluxe hss strat with stock pups
And a simple wiring mod. It's my fave because it
It gives me all the tones I need an I don't care if
It gets knocked around in some bar like I would if
Was one of my wall hanger "Church Guitars"

Guitar I pick up the most is my White MIJ Charvel San Dimas...it sounds great (stock), plays nicely and was really inexpensive.

My #1 player was previously an ESP KH-2 bolt-on but since I've moved on from playing bad Metallica riffs and regressed to playing 80s riffs 95% of the time, I moved to the Charvel :-)

my favorite guitar and my current #1, it does everything i need, i love the neck shape on this guitar and its a solid body and weighs in the low 8.lb range.
i bonded with it immediately and i cant wait to pick it up each day, i have a bunch of guitars but this one is my fav.

Skermetta custom. P5. Built in the tyler shop when Pete was over there doing magical things with wood and wire.
Great guy... phenomenal axe.

This has been my "Huckleberry" for the last week or so... I've got a few fine Lesters, and my personal fave and preference rotates weekly/monthly. For whatever reason, this one's just been perfect. Loaded with BKP Emeralds, great action, so smooth, and a beautiful rich tone with some top end sizzle. Been tone testing a recently acquired TwinJet with it, and also just kickin' out the jams on my other amps as I see fit (hey, not doing much else while convalescing from an operated ankle!!). She's a beaut!!!!!!

Damn dude.....haven't been to MLP lately or seen a NGD for this one. Glad you got it; just stunning. Congrats.

PRS Custom 24. Ask me in 15 minutes and the answer will change, but for now it's my fav. Plays great, trem is great, gets a ton of great tones.

I see a few really cool explorers. I have been looking at a Jackson KEXTMG in Tobacco Burst...Also some really nice LPs...I have never really played a LP style guitar that felt right to me. This thread gives me some good ideas...and some wood!!!

Here it is.

As seen on TV!

I love it. The body is just a hair over and inch and a half thick which feels good and is pretty light. Not sure what kind of wood. Maybe pine. The fairly low output pickup I have in there works perfectly with my amp and low tunings. Does it play velvety smooth? Hell no. Most guitar players would probably think it plays like ass but I love the way it feels and sounds. I have three of them total. One is tuned to drop d and has a high output PU.

This one has become my #1. I find HSS strats to be my favorite configuration overall. They cover so many of the tones that I like and I like strat-types for comfort. I designed and built it from scratch so in that sense it's custom made for me...

overall its a great guitar and if i could only have 1 guitar for the rest of my life this would be it, i like how it sounds thru all my amps.

Wow the black binding and hardware really look badass on a gold top. Awesome guitar!

Because I had this custom built and was able to hand pick every aspect of it. Just adding or subtracting what I have learned over the years what I need or don't. Simply a feel I love. Also, it just exhumes a kick ass rock vibe that makes me want to play the Hell out of it.

I like this!
Yeah me too. That's the pickup configuration I'd go for as well.
I'd love to own a Luxxtone.

My #1 is my DeArmond Starfire with a single bridge 'bucker.
She's a little beat up, but she can sure sing.

This one gets the most love. Its got a great neck, great PU and I've never had any issue with it.

Although I have a custom guitar, my to-go axe is my old japanesse Jackson dinky PILE OF SKULLS, it's got bare knuckles and it's beaten to death, I really don't care about the paint anymore (it's not in a museum) and it just feels right
