Is that where Pat O’Brien shopped for his Dead Human Collection?
I don't know. I just googled "human skulls shopping" because i'm curious :D

MDF certainly checks out. It’s used on high end studio monitors despite being a cheap material, due to its characteristics.

The 2001/2002 Mesa cab hype is all based around the V30’s from then. This makes me think that it’s all in the speakers

I thought they Deliverence 2-12 was a great sounding cab. 4-12 was good too. The FB I had 2-12 was ok, 412 I did not like much.

Modern day 1960 (70-current) suck. The 60’s basketweave cabs tend to be pretty great, weigh a ton though.

I found the Clip interesting. So i posted it. But i don't agree with everything he says.
i like the video. thanks for posting!
pretty informative, of course i don't take "good" and "better" as a fact but as their opinion

More like where does flesh wounds and trips to the hospital come from. The hole saw that dude used is freaking nuts. I'm surprised he didn't injure himself using that thing with a hand drill.

That was a cool watch. What the back panel is made of and the void free Baltic birch was the most interesting parts to me.

I find I like closed-back 2x12 cabs for prog and metal; the sound tight, smooth and articulate without boomy low end, but I don't tune my guitar lower than a bass either.

For classic rock and metal I prefer Marshall 4x12 cabs that sound more open and raw.

they all sound even better with DiMarzio's in the guitar :D

Well they're got their fans but I'm not one of them. Even with good Celestions I find them very sterile and blunt (no bloom at all). Sure they're very tight but at the expense virtually all warmth. And a nice Marshall cab is tight enough for 99% of applications. Put it this way, if the VHT FatBottom 4x12 is 50% tighter than a Marshall cab, it's also 75% less warm and woody at the same time. So the trade off ends up in the negative IMO.
My experience as well. I had a D60, and the next week a D120(this was when they were 699-899 per, used of course) and found D cab for 299. Read about how great it is, and thought the speakers were wired backwards after hearing it. Worst cab ever. Returned it fast to GC.

Yeah. Especially how he used with no pilot. That is a skill not to let it walk. I do that on marble, but try not to on wood. You have to have a good clutch to keep the thing from kicking on you, too
