What Orange amp do you have?

Been on the hunt for an OR120 and Overdrive. Settled on a Matamp GT120MV for the moment but still hoping to find one eventually.

I had all 4 Oranges hooked up not too long ago. Dopesmoker for days! In all reality though I mostly use these amps slightly pushed as pedal platforms with a ton of effects.

For these 3, should I keep the amp fairly clean, and let the dirt come from the pedals? I've also tried swapping a couple preamp tubes out (ex: 5751 in V1).

I have the BAT Destroyer and Pharaoh that rotate in my doom board for when I want that "Sleep" drone sound.

Yes keep it on the clean side. With all these Orange amps that I have, max the volume and use the gain knob to bring up the loudness level. Somewhere between 10-11 o'clock the gain knob hits an additional gain stage. You want to keep it below that point for fuzz pedals or you'll loose definition and sound like crap.

Crank up the volume on the pedals as well to further push the front end of the amp. For reference, crank your amp volume, turn on the Oath side of the Destroyer (left loud AF switch) and bring your gain on the amp up til your at a good volume level. That roughly how you want to run fuzz pedals into the OR to get the most out of it (just maybe not all the way dimed like that but you'll get the point). I run the Destroyer into the Pharaoh and it sounds massive.

See if this works. If not when I get back in town I'll snap some pics of my settings.

I like Orange amps. They say Oranges are good for you.

It's the one sort of in the middle.... just above the other one but to the one side.

Well shoot. I might have finally got all the Orange amps I've ever wanted.

Anyone have a good replacement transformer recommendation for the old 70's laydown's?

Just one Orange amp left now, a TremLord. Very nice amp. As everyone has already stated, it is very American amp based/sounding.

I might have posted these here before, I didn't plow through the whole thread to find out...

I sold everything but the Retro 50 and the Tiny Terror.
I also bought a cool black tolex solid state thing, I forget the wattage, but it sounds great for SS and has a 1-12 speaker. No pics of that one.

Tiny terror on a 1x12. Does the job for me. I also use a crush bass 25 for home practice on the bass.

Hi guys, and ladies. New here to RT and fairly new to ORANGE.. These are my babies: Running Nos tubes for the most part in them. In the Rockerverb, NOS GENELEX GEC KT 66s, in the AD 30 a mix of Sylvania Blackplate in V1 and 3 and Telam/Polams in v2 and 4, for power. Mixes of NOS AND NEWER PRODUCTION 12AX7 in both, depending on what sounded the best in the various positions. PM's, Mullards and RFT.

Recently switched from Marshall. I LOVE the tone of these Orange!!!!

For Guitars I have 5. Ghost Edition SG Standard, Faded Cherry Les Paul Studio from 2008, CS Telecaster, 70th Anni. Strat. And a custom made 3 P90 Nikita.

No Orange amps yet. Recently, I demo'd an Orange OR30 and really, really liked it. Less chime than most EL84 amps, closer to EL34 in tone.
