Whats the best hard rock band now ?

  • Thread starter Thread starter UDTBUDS

Electric Frankenstein,Dgeneration ( reunion),The Cult,Darkness,Micheal Monroe,Chelsea Smiles ,Glucifer,Poison Idea, Pure Rubbish, The Glitterati,The Hangmen ..ok some are no longer active

The new Slash stuff is surprisingly kickass... But since it's Slash I don't know if that counts

For younger people I'd like Halestorm is probably the biggest hard rock band around, not digging their newest record but their second one was killer... Do the Supersuckers count? They're a bit older and not really doing rock anymore

Supersuckers Evil powers of rock and roll is just killer !

Faith No More still killing it after 34 years. New stuff rocks.

Another of my favorites but I know they won't get any recognition here in the states.

Steel fuckin' Panther!!!!

+1

I like the new album, it's quite diverse.. and like previous albums it sounds completely different than the rest. I wasn't expecting them to record anything that great at this stage in their career, but I think they pulled it off.

Depends on definition I suppose... I can't pick just one anyway.

For me it would be The Sword, Baroness, Mastodon, Queens of the Stone Age and Tool. How bout that for a bill...

I'm definitely a fan of Alter Bridge, Tremonti, Slash with Myles and so forth. Another thread just turned me onto Big Wreck as well. And have been exploring Dream Theater. The Winery Dogs don't do it for me for whatever reason.

You being into all those guys, do you listen to Sevendust? Grew up on Dream Theater, Awake is still one of my favorites.
Also check the above band.

I have a hard time getting into most of Portnoy's bands.

Another Alter Bridge/Kennedy/Tremonti vote here. The dudes just have that integrity factor that's like the other music I listen to from back in the day.
