Owned a 2002 peavey Wolfgang and it was dead wood. Owned a 1998 Wolfgang special and regret every second letting that one go. It was purple and I wore the frets out of it.

I understand, but then I don't. I've had five or so of the EBMM EVHs, still have two. I can't see how the Peaveys beat them. The toggle switch position on the PVs always made it hard for me to do the VH tunes with tapping. YMMV.
