This pic was taken last night at the M3 Festival. Is anyone really surprised?

thats just funny...on my facebook nuno just posted a pick with his amps all miked up sayiing "ready!" Everybody is commenting on how fantastic his amps are and that they bought one and how they love it.
I just commented..."nice amps..too bad he doesnt use them. He should just bring out the Marshall he has hidden in the back"
A few people didnt like that one :D

Someone talked with his tech and was told the reason for the Marshall is that they were having problems with the Randall. Yeah right, all 4 Randall's had something wrong with them at the same time?

Yup, I'm not seeing anything that looks like power cables or speaker cables...

There was a problem with all 4 Randalls, they don't sound like a Marshall.

I don't give a shit if he's playing a twin.....look at all the fuckin people!

Apart from the Marshall I could say that what's wrong with the pic is that it's 2014 and that many people are watching Nuno play.

Damn, got beat to it

This was at the M3 Music Festival here in Maryland. It is all "80"'s metal bands that span two days. It sells out every year. You're only seeing the Pavailion seats, the lawn behind that is packed also. Since it does so well every year it keeps getting bigger and bigger. It's usually shown a week or so later on Direct TV in HD. Hair nation on XM has had a week long broadcast pertaining to the event. I wouldn't doubt it if it becomes one of the biggest MUSIC festivals of the year.

Here's the bill:

Why sad? I guess some modern "musicians" are threatened because these guys (and gals) can actually play their instruments at a high level?

It's sad that old washed up bands still have an audience and that great new bands are struggling to make a living out of their music. That's how it goes I guess; most people just stick with what they were listening when they were teens. Sadly, nowadays, most teens listen to the craptastic music they hear on the radio and don't buy music at all, except for the shitty singles they download online.

Don't post after hitting the crack pipe dude.

You sound like a bitter underachieving new guy, making irrelevant music that can't draw that big of a crowd. The new shit that gets no play just isn't what people want to hear. Unless now you are blaming the fans for not buying what you think they should. Interesting way to justify that your pet style sucks to most people.

Haters gonna hate.

As far as Nuno drawing a crowd, If you don't like what you see there, get the fuck out.

I see what your saying and agree with you on many of your points.

But maybe those "great new bands" aren't really that great. Maybe just great to musicians, not the masses. I think what is sad is that the teens of today aren't intelligent enough to find the good music. Like all aspects of their life, they want instant quick gratification. Probably not entirely their fault though.

Also, maybe this very large crowd just like what the 80's were about. I can sum that up in one word......fun. Chicks, parties, cars, excess = FUN. Most music today isn't about these things. I think that is one reason why many of these fans have crossed over and are spending their money in the modern country scene.

It is about what people like versus what they don't like. Closed mindedness has nothing to do with it. If you want attention, write good music. Nuno is a fantastic musician. III Sides is an epic album that most could only dream of being involved with. There are elements of modern music that are good, but most of it is just not my thing. That makes me closed minded that my tastes were formed at a different time in history? Sorry, don't like hipster music or screaming/growling metal. I don't judge those that do. The argument can be made that you are stuck on modern music with no way of appreciating "washed up" bands.
