What's your favorite AIC tune?

It's tough isn't it...................You know a band has written a great catalog of songs that speak to many different people in many different ways that have staying power when asked what their favorite song is and the answer is...............ALL OF THEM.

Can't pick one. That's like choosing a fav Pink Floyd or ACDC tune.
Oddly enough, I can pick my 2 fav Led Zep songs.

There’s so many great ones. I’m surprised about all the love that Shame In You is getting around here. That’s been one of my all-time favorites by AIC, and it always seemed rather obscure choice.

Don’t forget “What The Hell Have I”. It’s still surprising that that song was banished to the Last Action Hero soundtrack.

I believe it was written during the Dirt sessions, and I could easily see WTHHI being written right after Dirt (the song). Both songs have that Arabic tonality and 1/2 step riffs in them.

Love Have Love definitely needs to be up there. In some ways. I kinda wish they went a different direction after the solo, but that’s a great moody song too. I think LHL is as heavy and moody as it is because of the way Mike Starr played bass. Unless Jerry had an anchor in Mike’s bass, I have no idea if Jerry would have felt comfortable playing inverted power chords that pedal on the D string. Come to think of it, I don’t think Jerry ever played a riff like that since Mike left AIC.

We Die Young will probably always be my favorite and almost like the demo more than the one on the album.

Impossible to choose a fave. We just started doing Love Hate Love, and I'm enjoying that a lot, but we've always had a heavy amount of AIC in our set list. Them Bones, Damn That River, Sea of Sorrow, Would, I Can't Remember, Dirt, We Die Young, Man In The Box, Rooster, Bleed the Freak, Put You Down, It Ain't Like That...

Nutshell is also one of my absolute favorites.

There are so many for me but the standout besides all the heavier tunes the one tune has to be 'Would' for me.......runner up would be Sea of Sorrow
Here's Opeth covering Would......................I thought it was kinda cool...

I read the title and was going to post the Opeth cover. I love both. I like how Opeth put their own vibe on it. Not as raw but great either way. Always loved anything from Dirt but Angry Chair speaks to me. I also love We Die Young, Sickman, Check My Brain and I Stay Away.
