Whats your favorite boost pedal?

I have several, but typically use my Maxon OD808 or MXR Classic Overdrive (GTOD). I have several others, but I am selling them.

Maxon od 808. It's definitely the best boost pedal I've used if the application is adding a tight and articulate midrange boost to the input of high gain amp channels. I use the Salem witch trial settings.
No need to look any further.
I use a zendrive for lower gain sounds.

I use the Xotic EP booster. Works great with channel 1 & 2 on my EVH mini amp.

OCD V1

my #14 Rig Talk Plank Cranker :D

Suhr Koko and Xotic EP booster
That's what I have on my board. The only thing that has come close to dethroning the Koko was an RC Booster, which I want to pick up again. The RC was a nice boost that retained a really nice top end.

Late to the party, but definitely the Creation Audio Labs Mk.4:23 Pro, 48V model.

Agreed, for a bit o' hair in the mix, the OCD in 18V mode.

Peace.
Mo

Check out the HBE Paradrive, and don't just play it at bedroom volumes. it's a different beast when the amp is cranked up. as a stand-alone pedal for dirt or for boosting a distorted amp, it sounds fantastic.

Green Rhino is the best one I have tried so far with my Marshall's

Creation Audio Labs Mk 4.23 is also an amazing and 'very' transparent clean boost. Looks killer, great sweep on amount of boost you want...and gets loud! Put this in loop after preamp and it is really nice for adding volume for lead work, etc. No tone coloring or gain added whatsoever.. just more volume of the tone that your amp is already giving..and also a good buffer pedal. Cheerz bro

OMG, THIS!!! ^^^
Mo, (Ventura) recommended the Mk. 4:23 to me
about a year ago and I couldn't be happier!!
Run this in the loop and your Jaw will hit the
floor. I Love the Overdrive sound I get from my
Custom Audio's SE+ & PT-100, so I would never
want to compromise or color the Tone in any way.
The Mk. 4:23 does this better than any other, just
hit the switch and your Db level jumps for a solid
clean boost that puts you way above the band mix
for a commanding Lead Tone, that doesn't get
Drowned out from the other instruments.
I call it my Secret Weapon!

Keely plus moded TS9 it is very transparent and doesnt kill all the low frequencies unless you want it to. I just scored a herbert from a killer bro of mine corpse so no need for a boost anymore this is the tone I have been chasing for a long long time.

Right on Dave congrats, glad it went to a good home, I wanted it, but wasn't sure I was willing to off the VH4 for it.

Xotic EP in the loop
TS9 in front
Also like the Barber DD with the presence adjustment cranked all the way.

My favorite for my 76 precascaded Marshall JMP is clearly the Rodenberg 728NG

I tried
Suhr Kokoboost (very clean, best neutral! cleanish boost, the mid adjust is cool, but not quite in the region I like, "lacks" the stability ((ok as it is not intended)) of a tubescreamer clone)
MXR CAE 402 (ok, but not as good as the Kokoboost, degrades the sound more, overdrive pedal side is too brittle/grittle, less gain than the koko)
MXR Micro Amp: nothing to write about, more aggressive than its bigger brother, but not as clear)
Analogman King of Tone 4 (quite open (for a tubescreamer, my choice if I had no rodenberg, more neutral playing feel, little more tubescreamer gene, stays quite clear even with much gain, quite interesting/solid, if you will use a strat neck pu, very! transparent)
Xotic RC Boost (more harsh and little sounding than the Analogman KOT, but ok, bass gets too muddy when added, with more gain a little muddy)
Maxon SD9 (to much mid hump, little dynamics, but ok, dominates the amp, muddy)
Okko Twin Sonic (quite a lot headroom, not bad, but gets muddy with higher gain settings, a little brittle like the RC Boost, not much gain, a quite neutral sounding unit)
Boss DS1 Japanese: (very! little ((the least)) midrange, quite spongy feel, gets too muddy, little dynamics
Blackstar HT Boost: (boring, nothing special, the tube does nothing)

The Rodenberg 728NG (probably not much known in the US is a booster with overdrive which I prefer to the Kokoboost which adds certain frequencies I really like, it enhances/excites the sound, but does not color the amp in a non transparent way (probably like the Keeler pull or klon (booster side 707), I do only know sound file comparisons of the klon/keeler, will try Keeler Pull soon).

The overdrive side 808/909 is a little more tubescreamer which I prefer to the KOT, as it is a little more open and not as neutral playing wise, you can adjust bass cut or not, the pedal is highly con-figural, try it, exceptional pedal for enhancing your amp, quite a lot gain is available (like Vais Eat em and Smile Solo Sound.
Will try the OCD and 101 Lehan Lab Dynamic D and Keeler Pull next week

I do not like normal tubescreamers, as they are too boxy (non-dynamic) in front of (this) marshall...

right now, my ranking for the JMP Marshall with a Rosewood Strat with vintage sc and alnico humbucker on the bridge:

1. Rodenberg 728NG
2. Analogman KOT 4
3. Suhr Kokoboost

Greetings
Kai
