No-one's mentioned the Stones yet -

Beggar's Banquet
Sticky Fingers
Exile
Goat's Head
It's Only Rn'R

Zeppelin is a no brainer, but you could through Black Sabbath into the mix with the S/T first LP up to and including Sabatoge. Maiden is up there from the S/T LP to Seventh Son!!

I don't love the first two Maiden albums, which makes their streak a bit short for my vote.

Some of you guys have pretty low standards
For me, "awesome" albums are ones which are ranked amongst the greatest of all time
I'll list streaks of 4 and more

Already mentioned:
The Beatles (pretty much all their stuff)
Led Zeppelin - First 6
Metallica - First 5
Pink Floyd - 4, from Dark Side Of The Moon to The Wall
Rolling Stones - 4, from Beggars Banquet to Exile On Main St.
U2 - 4, from War to Achtung Baby (if you don't count Rattle & Hum)

Add:
Radiohead - 6, from The Bends to In Rainbows
The Smiths - Their 4 albums
Talking Heads - First 4
Pixies - Their 4 albums
The Who - 4, from The Who Sell Out to Quadrophenia
Genesis - 4, from Foxtrot to A Trick Of The Tail

Not Bands:
Bruce Springsteen - 6, from The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle to Born In The USA
Neil Young - 5, from Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere to Tonight's The Night
Björk - 4, from Debut to Vespertine
David Bowie also had a few good streaks, with some weaker albums thrown in between

The D'Anno era is an acquired taste, but you can hear the beginnings of greatness.

Agreed 100%. I listen to them occasionally, but just don't love them like the BD era.

Iron Maiden had about 7 in a row in the 80's.

Nobody will top what Rush has done! ...and are still doing. :worship:

I'm going to have to agree with this, though I also loved the runs Zep and Sabbath had. 8)

Some of it's going to come down to personal taste. I don't like Radio Head at all, for example, and others may hate some bands I like. And many albums considered great only have a song or two I like a lot. But when I mention Rush, Zep, or Sabbath, the runs of albums have at least a few songs I like a lot if not the entire albums. 8) These albums have that -- for me. 8)

Rush:
self-titled
Fly by Night
Caress of Steel
2112
All the World's a Stage
Farewell to Kings
Hemispheres
Permanent Waves
Moving Pictures
Exit Stage Left
Signals
Grace Under Pressure. That's 10; 12 if counting the great live albums. They have some others I like a lot -- even their newest one -- but not in a row and not quite as much.

Zep:
I
II
III
Zoso
Houses of the Holy
Physical Graffiti
Presence
In Through the Out Door. That's 8. I almost never listen to Coda and can't count it for my list.

Sabbath: they come close to many in a row, but there's a break of a couple albums I can't say I love:
self-titled
Paranoid
Master of Reality
Volume IV
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Sabotage. Then break for Technical Ecstasy, and I only like the title track off Never Say Die
Then:
Heaven and Hell
Mob Rules. And Born Again is great... every once in a while.
Then their Live Evil album fits in for me.

So many to name. Here are a few with some great back to back (...to back, to back) records;

- Judas Priest
- Metallica's first 4
- King Diamond from the first onward.

Aerosmith: up to night in the ruts

Pat Travers: Makin Magic up to Hot Shot

UFO: up to Misdemeanor

Thin Lizzy: Hell, they're all great...
