Which glue to use?

Do not drill anything..
Just inject some glue in the crack and clamp it.
I think Stewart MacDonald has some YouTube vids that show you how to glue up cracks and stuff.
That Dan Erlewine guy is a wiz with fixing stuff with glue.

I would use wood glue and try to get it in there as best as you can with a syringe.

If you can’t open the crack even slightly, then I’m w/Floyd Eye & others suggesting lots a glue - lift the crack evenly w/wedges (slowly) and let the wood crack to the extent it’s open enough to spread glue. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Use hide glue if you want because ‘technically’ you’d later be able to break the glue bond if you screw up. If it breaks, it breaks & that’s a better repair in the long run. Just make sure the pcs fit nicely before gluing back up.

If you want to get fancy a flanged pin (wood or brass) going through both sides of the repair would hold it together - but maybe unnecessary w/all the glue

I'd think the place to install a pin might be perpendicular to the crack along the headstock (tuners) b/c string tension puts shear stress to that area specifically. Seems like a pin (or 2) along that section of the headstock would counter that for good.

The neck won't be here for another couple days yet so I have been playing with syringes.

It's a little tricky getting the titebond in them but I think I got it.

You’re not using like regular small drug/insulin syringes are you ? Because that’s not gonna work.

And dude, ALL syringes are disposable. Been that way for almost a century now.

It's not the size, it's how you use it.

I have the Stew Mac ones but two things. Needle too large and a bitch to clean.

I bought a 100 box of these for under 20 bucks.

Did you have to show an insulin card ?

No and no.

They aren't insulin needles really, too big.

I pulled the stopper out of the syringe and carefully poured the glue in.

I used a tooth pick to allow air so it would move down. Pushed the stopper back in and presto, a glue filled syringe. Works just fine.

I received the neck. The crack is super thin, the picture is misleading. I cannot open or squeeze the crack.

I think the only way might be to use some super thin ca glue.

I would break it the rest of the way off then glue it.
