Which glue to use?

Yeah, scratch my last statement. I was able to spread it open a little and the syringe worked perfectly. I used a small screwdriver so, I did leave a little mark on the crack which I might just ignore. We'll see what it looks like when it dries.

It's clamped and drying now.
When it dries sand it with 800 grit, with the grain. Wipe a little walnut NGR on it and Bob's yer uncle.
 
Is the "mark" just a impression from the screwdriver or actual wood missing?
Because..... If it's an impression you can easily steam the spot and the wood will return to just about new.
Or if wood is missing you can sand a little from a inconspicuous spot. Then fill the missing area, and a little dab of super glue, let dry, Uncle bob is definitely your uncle. Derka Derka
