Who likes messing with different pick materials? New Picks.

I was using the Dunlop Primetone 0.96 with grip for a few years. They are a good pickup but my goodness, they wear like nothing.

I switched out last year to the Dunlop Fredrik Thordendal picks which are also 0.96 thickness. Grip is amazing, good snap to them and they actually last a decent amount of time.

Would love to try those carbon fibre Dunlops but I am not a Jazz III fan for pick size.

DO IT!

I didn't need to know about Iron Age picks. I love the idea of stone/agate based picks. This is a money trap.

I just bought a big block of Delrin for $20, I think I'm gonna try to make one similar.

Is that actually a pick? It looks like you're getting ready to measure, mark, and cut some 2x4s

  It's so big and goofy that I can't stop thinking about it. Picks this thick are supposed to be super comfy and easier to use. I always thought they're kinda dumb, but I'm bored and curious lately.

Can someone please let me know what are good style of picks that have good grip due to my hands sweating?

I never had this problem before until recently. Maybe since I switched back to tube amps and not modelers, I am spending more time actually playing and not always tweaking......maybe that is why I am noticing now? Ugh

Gravity Golds are excellent for slippage, tone, feel, wear, and low pic noise. I am liking them more than the Red Bears.

After buying over a hundred different picks and using Jazz III for many years I went back to Tortex Yellow .73.....they just fit how I play and sound best to me. I like the attack of the not pointed picks better.

Dunlop max grip carbon fiber, game changer for me. They made every other pick in the world feels mortal compared to them. The max grip-py things on the carbon fiber ones are so good for speed picking, once you get used to them, it's legitimately like cheating. They REALLY helped me clean up my technique as well as increase my speed, they're like picking with an icicle.

The nylon/carbon fiber max grip arent the ones..theyre shiny and black and they're slippery.

The max grip I mean are greyish black, almost powdery looking and there is an absolute definite difference between the two.
