It got up to 90 where I met that dude when we traded… fuck I can’t do the heat….

I have found almost zero information on them as well. Only the body wood and the name of the blue one. They are imports but damn they feel good…especially the necks. Hefty weight and I guess they are super jumbos or something….house is upside down because the wife is getting some furniture delivered tomorrow. No I don’t know why I’m broke all the time….

you know, as I'm getting older, I feel like heat is much less of a problem. Keep hydrated and shielded, and you are pretty good. Cold on the other hand, it goes right to the core of your bones, you feel it. We had a stretch here about 8 years ago where the temp was less than -8F for a month. It froze every pipe in our bathroom that was over our garage. Insane.
If I could afford to never live through a day under 77 degrees I would surely do so by at least getting a place down in the FL keys or Bahamas for winter time.

I got got one kid graduating this year, and another in 2. I have a remote position, so I'm heading somewhere with Starlink.

My kids are grown up. Son still lives here but is never around much. He's a good roommate anyways. I have been agonizing on where the adventure is gonna lead me next but I have had a bad attitude about it since the stupidity of covid exposed just how many droids are in this country plus the prices are a ripoff now. I have a few states on my radar but can't really make up my mind. I have a pretty nice spot here it's just that land is like guitars except worse cause land-resources plus privacy which equals freedom. That remote cabin down by the creek with some starlink....

dude... it can't get much worse that NY or CA, as far as trampling on rights, and taxation beyond belief. I'm thinking Montana, my buddy and I want to pan for gold, lol. I wanna get a camper, use my starlink to remote connect for work, and pan gold in the evenings. Then crank a few riffs out into the wilderness to get some animal friends. 😍

I like your style!!! I love west Montana and Idaho but it's too damn cold there. And it's gotten pretty pricey. I been looking at the ozarks. Affordable land, plenty of water and wood to cut, game to harvest, low regulations on building, and I hear it is up there next to Montana/Idaho for fly fishing and since I've done pretty much every other kind of fishing that's been on my bucket list for retirement fun though if the Lord is willing I don't ever plan on retiring anyways.

Hmm, I'm open to suggestions. I grew up in NY, so too much heat is a factor for me as well. As much as I disparage this state for other reasons, as far as weather, it's pretty safe. No hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc... We get some cold weather, and occasional floods from storms that travel up the coast, but nothing as severe as other states. I lived in the tornado belt for a bit, lol, that is a trip. My father worked for Encon, so I grew up doing a lot of hunting and fishing. Will be doing that till I drop, lol.

worked on a show called mountain men on the history channel—people living off the grid.
i produced segments for 3 seasons with two couples from the Yaak. Montana (5 miles from Canadian border) and it is amazing up there.

love the hippy g-fididdles JBT!
btw i traded in the BC Rich (tone/neck shspe was really nice but too unstable tuning and needed leveling ) for a PRS.

My bc rich is my number one at the moment. The action is neck and neck with my Sykes but I get better harmonics and more clarity with the mockingbird…. It’s a really cool guitar. Alund took care of me on it.

You guys would like West Virginia if you were retired or had remote work positions. Cost of living is low… land is cheap compared to other places. They tax everything but compared to other areas it’s still cheap. Policing is a little out of hand because it’s treated as a revenue stream. Not a lot of people and lots of trees, rivers, lakes and critters to eat. Plus it’s true four seasons country. We get more rain than Seattle and certain areas are closer to a northern winter than you would assume to be possible here….
