i was wondering this myself. ive asked in a couple other threads what is behind the mesa hate lately with some people, it just seems odd given they just released two classics which ive not seen a bad review yet on, and i didnt get an answer.

I’ve got both the HRG and Recto RI’s, and they’re both absolute fucking killing machines. Two of Mesas best creations ever. If their quality of sound is any indication of what the future will bring, depending on designs of course, I’m excited af to see it.

It appears the quality of Mesa products has actually gotten better since Gibson took over. From what I've heard, the employees are happier too.

I meant those orange capacitors, mainly. I had one of those fail in my amp. The risks I meant is that they can be really expensive to repair if something major goes wrong.
