Just calling it like I see it. You sure seem to make alot of posts, and bragging about your holy grail list of amps, and money you spend. I find it silly to take up half a page in two posts to list a gazillion amps, as if to say "look at me, I'm better than most of you". And my guess is, you're one of those who posts clips and say "please excuse the sloppy playing".
  My last thread was about tubes and swapping around tubes with different amps. Talking about tubes, tube amps, and different changes different things make is what we do here at RT.  If you don't like topics about top end gear, I would suggest a forum like Ultimate Guitar. (I'm being serious not snotty). There are a lot more topics over there about middle ground type gear and what not.

Your last thread was, "hey look at me, I spent $400 on tubes for my expensive amp collection". "In case you don't see my lengthy list of precious amps in my sig, let me itemize which amps I spent $400 on tubes for". This thread had nothing to do with high end vs. "middle-ground", as you're so kind to label. Seriously, you really would fit in at TGP. In fact, you qualify to moderate over there.

Ahhhhhh, now I understand. I am so insensitive! You must have gotten into a pissing match with someone on another forum about Blackstar and they tore the brand down hard, right in front of you. You then came to RT looking to lash out at someone, because...you've been hurt before... there there. :gay:

Seriously, you can interpret my thread however you'd like. Myself, and the others that participated in it were just talking about different sets of tubes in different amps, and yes my tubes in my amps. It was my thread after all. I wouldn't be interested in retubing something that I don't own, obviously. Jealousy is an ugly thing and warps peoples perspective.

Yourself, and many other americans, need to spend more time being thankful for what THEY THEMSELVES have, rather than being more interested in trying to tear other people down because they might have a bit more. Since it's the season to be thankful for what we have, In all sincerity, happy Thanksgiving.

There you go with the high and mighty. What suggests I'm jealous? I make a pretty good living, and I can buy, literally, whatever I want. I believe, in your case, you're maybe over compensating for a poor childhood with nothing, possibly beaten and some point, and/or small dick syndrome, hence the need to list them all like an accomplishment list of superiority. I've owned every amp under the sun, (Engl and Diezel are the only two I've never owned), and find alot of the higher priced amps alot of hype, and know good tone doesn't need.to cost a fortune. I spend a lot more time playing, than visiting forums anymore.

Again, without just assuming you're a snot-nosed TGP regular, I'd like to know how you arrive at the jealously statement. As for your "tube thread"?? Its titled "I spent $400 on tubes", as if to seek approval, or congratulations. I think it was more about YOU, than tubes.

WOW! You are CRAZY good! How did you know I'm a daily beaten child with a small penis that lives in the ghetto?
and know good tone doesn't need.to cost a fortune.
You are right, that is why today I sold it all and upgraded to the Squire Jr. and Rage 158. I'm thinking about picking up a Gorilla amp and running the two in stereo, it's going to be a monster.

Awesome. It's almost winter. Maybe you could pick up a pair of those non fingered mittens that are impossible to type with on. Please wear them when near something with an internet connection.

1. Never been to this "TGP" don't even know what it stands for. 2. Everything. You don't just go after someone when they did nothing to you or talked bad about anything you had/have. You chose me, to your admission, because of my gear list in my sig. It's clear as day.

...And here the rest of us thought it was about....TUBES.

Keep it coming buddy! I can't buy entertainment this good for a Tuesday.

Do you flip out on every board you're on?

I don't what RJF did wrong here. You seem to be attacking for no reason. I don't post much but I log into RT everyday I like reading about some high end gear. Why would it be ok to talk about cheap gear but it's wrong if someone has a lot of nice high end gear and want to talk talk about it?
I don't know much about tubes so I've actually been reading that thread.

#BlackstarAmpsMatter

EDIT: fuck, that's what I get for not reading a thread before posting :)

Tried an HT40 once at a GC, looking for a second amp. Way too dark for me, couldn't get it bright enough.....probably because I'm going freaking deaf lol......

Some people have problems with Blackstar HT series because these are essentially hybrid amps but marketed as all-tube amps. Some might have some minor peeves about them claiming to be an UK brand while none of their amps were made in UK as well.

Personally I found them sounding rather uninteresting, but they were built to a price point and serve that purpose alright.

Why all the hate for the blackstar hate?

You realize how many people would tell you they'd rather be stuck with a Rage 158 than play through my amp for a day? Think I give a damn? I'd melt their damn faces off with that amp! Well, probably not... But people rip on Diezel, Bogner and Fortin for fack's sake. C'mon... Don't worry about a name, origin of assembly or bother trying to justify your choice for anyone else. Just play, dude. And let that speak for itself.

At least until you can afford a big boy amp, anyway.

Kidding....

I have a Blackstar. When peeps break out the Hatorade, I just say,'hey man, step off. You don't know me' you know?

Blackstar's are a nice all round amp. I have a HT Stage 100, and it's an extremely versatile amp. Granted, it took me a few days to start getting the real tones i wanted out of it, but it has a rich crunchy gain tone that can handle so serious metal tones, and has beautiful, warm cleans. Definitely solid amps. Don't know too much on quality of build but haven't heard a lot of negativity towards them.

Borrowing a friend's Blackstar Fly 3 watt mini amp. It's really pretty good actually. With a TS9 front, I may prefer it to my MicroCube, and that's saying a lot, I love my Cube.

Plug it in to some decent speakers and it sounds really good. That thing is pretty impressive for a 3 watt battery powered amp.

I don't hate them.

But whenever I've seen them being used on stage, whether with local rock/punk bands or Iggy Pop & The Stooges, they have always sounded rather bright and harsh.

Just jammed with some guys last week and the other guitarist had a blackstar combo. Meh it was pretty fizzy. Seen a couple of bands using them live and didn't sound horrible.
