Why doesn't Vai like the Legacy 2?

I've seen a few videos recently where he's discussing his tone and how he's using the 1 and 3 on stage and how his new Legacy pedal gets the sound of the 1 and 3 very accurately.

What happened with the 2? I assume he designed it, so why doesn't he use it does anyone know?

Nah, I'm not going to rag on Carvin amps. I think they're quite good despite not having anywhere near the prestige of big boutique names. They are very reliable amps, and I believe the Legacy amps are designed by Ben Fargen. I had a Legacy II for a couple of months once. At first it really wasn't my kind of thing, so I put it up for sale immediately, it took 7-8 weeks to sell, but by the time it did, I had grown fond of it and reluctantly let it go. It works for Vai, and he sounds better than ever, but his last album had all the soul bullshit that ruined it for me.

Pretty sure he just did the II. I think Vai liked the original and they just did the II and III to satisfy customers.
