I contacted the seller and sent him this, "how much does the amp really cost?" This morning he contacted me and said the amp sold. I asked for how much. this was his response: GUESS WHO BOUGHT MY AMP??? He said Van Halen contacted him and paid him 10 grand for it!!! He must be a little crazy. Who knows, maybe I am the crazy one for not believing him and EVH really contacted him and paid him 10 grand for it? Naaahhhhhhhhh!!!

I bet now it will be back up for sale in a week or two and the seller will say that EVH bought it, then returned it, so it is also EVH owned!! Or something along those lines. Basically a better reason and story for it to cost 10 grand other than rockstah mark built and modded it.

I had a Rockstah Mod 5. Great sounding amp, but there's tons of great sounding amps out there.

I'm still working on it, but getting the swing and phrasing right is way more important to coping the EVH vibe than the amp or guitar.

Turn the PPIMV almost all the way down, throw a 57 on it, drench it in simulated plate reverb and play the shit convincingly and they wouldn't think that. The problem is a lot of people buy gear expecting it to make them PLAY better…

Yes

We (as players) need to understand that we sound like what we sound like...through any amp.
I tried to cop some VH vibe in this vid...but it sounds like me, trying to cop VH....it's just what we are.
Seems strange to me to try to be somebody else.
I actually prefer Randy Rhoads as far as playing style.
