I understand history just fine. I'm most worried about our current history in the making.
The only thing that separates a democracy from an autocracy or dictatorship is THE PEACEFUL TRANSFER OF POWER.
That didn't happen this time and way too many folks in the country seem just fine with it. That scares the fucking crap out of me.
I don't want to live in a country where the next president is chosen via bloodline rather than the vote of the people.
Oh really, did the protestors inhibit the
PEACEFUL TRANSFER OF POWER?
Oh wait, this is breaking news from reality, coming in my newsroom earpiece:
a bunch of boomers took selfies at desks and walked within the velvet ropes. No one took anyone hostage, no one threatened anyone with weapons, they just were loud and annoying and demonstrated. They certainly have a long way to go if they wanted to keep up with the monetary damage and loss of life BLM executed over the last few years.
They were literally doing the exact see thing the pussy hats did during the Kavanaugh hearings. They just don't have the corporate GloboHomo media on their side shilling for them.
THE PUSSYHATS INHIBITED THE PEACEFUL APPOINTMENT OF A JUDGE, THEYRE DOMESTIC TERRORISTS NOW HURR DURR
The fact that you only see this how the media wants you to ("that scares the crap out of me" is the dead giveaway) instead of the big picture (
either political side using federal coercion for political ends) means you're falling victim to a classic propaganda tactic.
This is literally the same way George Bush used the media to gin up enough fear to push through the Patriot Act. With the same result -
using the federal government as jackbooted thugs.
