Wow, the Splawn Pro Stock is a nice amp!!

I like brighter tone I guess....I never run my treble or presence that low...I never run them below noon actually...

I had greenbacks in my splawn 4x12 for a long time..sounded nice...but I was looking for a change so I changed them to the splawn smallblock 25s...they fit that amp perfectly

Never tried the SB's but there was this high end "crackle" that I could never dial out of the Eminence speakers when I pushed them. The English Greenies break up perfectly for me.

which emis? the governor/man o war x pattern? I had the same problem with those so I got rid of them

Has to be the speakers because I run my QR a lot brighter than that.

Exactly. Must have been that combo

fuck that x pattern!!! heheheh..although some people still get pretty good results out of them..craig's tone is fuckin' killer....I think alotta that has to do with the pups and woods in his guitars....kills alotta the highs

dude, that sounds great..I would expect it to have been MUCH darker dialed in like that..must be the dialed out bass and the dialed IN mids that make it brighter....also, what speakers are in that cab?

there's nothing wrong with your playing, ya jackwagon....sounds like you were in the zone to me

hmmm....so..I'm assuming the M75 is a G75 like speaker? No idea what the ASW KTS-70 is voiced like....but I'd assume the 75 in a bright speaker?

The Scumback M75 is voiced like an old Celestion Blackback (precursor to the Greenback). It is very mellow and mid-heavy. The KTS-70 is voiced like an old Celestion G12H-30 and is a little more scooped. It has more highs and lows than the M75, but not as scooped as the G12-75 of today though. I find this combination to be perfect for most old school classic rock and metal tones.

In the clip, I separated the speakers. KTS-70 is on the left and the M75 is on the right.

that's a tried and true combination so it's no wonder it came out sounding great!

Now I have that tone in my head and have to have it...
