wtf - why did warmoth stop making gibson style bodies??

Gibson goons and something called a Cease and Desist order. Warmoth could have probably won, but paid out the ass for legal fees to do so.

They did come out with some new bodies are that are modded versions and are cool in their own way.

Maybe if Gibson made better guitars that didnt cost a small fortune then they wouldnt be intimidated by warmoth making a few bodies in the same shape.

If it is actually true that Warmoth and Gibson had some sort of legal battle over the guitar bodies, I'm curious if Warmoth had a license from Gibson at one point or not?

I know there are a lot of Gibson fans on this board and yeah I like Gibsons too, old ones atleast. The new ones on shelves just do not seem like quality instruments to me, especially not for the prices they're asking..
