I used to work at a restaurant the head cook would offer to make me steaks and stuff then lay a bunch of his cleanup work on me at the end of the night and use the steaks he "gave" as leverage. I probably would've walked home tbh.

Bullshit. Pointing out Dave’s arrogance is not ripping on him as a musician, dumbass. I went to see his cover band play in small bars many, many times. Mostly because of Steve. Rock and roll royalty is a stretch. Most likely applied by a star struck name dropper such as yourself.
