Everytime I hear anything off of "Dream Evil" it reminds me of hanging out with Robert Keeley. His mom picked us up from high school and cranked "Night People" in the car. Then we jammed on some guitars and finished the night off with some waffles or pancakes. :)

Never really got into Dream Evil very much!!! Holy Diver and The Last In Line were hard to follow and Vivian kicked ass on those two albums.

Currently listening to the Loudness trilogy Thunder in the East, Lighting Strikes (Shadows of War), and Hurricane Eyes. Akira was and still is one bad ass guitarist!!! Very underrated along with Ronni LeTekro from TNT. I love 80's metal well except for the cheesy stuff like Poison!!!

Akira is awesome, but i just cant get into the vocals.i know im missing out. I had TITE when it came out but vox just ruined it for me.

I agree about the vocals, but when I first heard Akira on the Thunder In The East LP, I was floored!!! I kind of tune out the shitting vocals though and hone in on Akira. Saw Loudess open for Motley Crue in 85 and Loudess kicked ass!!! Akira was on fire!!! He should of been Jake's replacement or even Randy's, but he was really unknown back in 82 and 83.

OverLove. Love that ripping intro to that one. Always liked this double neck BC Rich.

You have a few pointy shredders in your collection that you play stuff like this on:

Is it me, or is the top half missing it's strings?

I clearly remember going to Crazy Eddie Records in Brooklyn in Jan 1984, to get 1984 (on tape, of course)! I had to fast forward over that wacky pre-jump keyboard stuff, and Jump. CD's are much easier!

I think Girl Gone Bad has the BEST ending of any song ever! I love the way Ed pounds away on the strings, then stops, the drums keep going, then stop in a flurry of bass drum notes that seems like Alex passes out! Classic.
