Has to be Old George Lynch....
Was playing a couple years before I heard him.....but something about his riffs and solos....guitars.....
just made him my fave.
Still havent swayed my vote in close to 25 years.

This is a tough one, but I think I can say Cantrell. Jar Of Flies is my all-time favorite album and his playing always makes me giddy like a school girl, even though I'm usually a cynical old fuck with most music these days. That dude inspires me at all times.

Gilmour is always near the top and for newer bands, the guys in Karnivool and Tosin from AAL really move me.

I am a metalhead thru and thru but my all time favorite is Stevie Ray Vaughan. I have just not felt someone's heart thru their playing like I have felt Stevie. I had the opurtunity to see him many times before he died.
