I have a question on these as I would not mind replacing my Boogie 50/50 power amp and losing about 18lbs out of the rack. If I run the GT800 with a single 1x12--a Mesa Thiele w/ a 200 watt EVM-12L, it that cab going to be able to handle it? I assume my Marshall 1936 cab 2x12 (with the stereo jack) with two 75 watt Celestions is out of the question.

hard to beat a slaved Plexi!!! I agree the SL68 slaved sounds killer. But I think the Axe 2 through these power amps sounds great as well.

bottom line for this vid is these power amps are winners IMHO, I'm really impressed. I dunno how they do it in 1 rack space!

read at which ohm setting delivers how many watts and compare to your cab preference.

you just gotta keep the volume reasonable- this vid was done with a 1-12" with a 65 watt speaker. I just kept the level around 3 on the Matrix.

One thing I wish these had which are on most tube power amps these days- presence and some sort of depth control- relying on a std preamp may lead to litmited tonal possibilities in my opinion. Sounded good nonetheless
