Science is cold, hard facts.

No opinions.
No misinterpretations.
No faith crap.

Repeatable, verifiable facts.
The irony is that so much scientific discovery has been rooted in skepticism. Science, true science is not done with a specific result in mind. Most of it comes from “this shit makes absolutely no sense, and I want to know why”. And once they figure out why, they make efforts to prove themselves wrong.
Outside of academia, using science to prove a desired result, is pretty much junk science.

If more people used their skepticism to drive discovery instead of being miserable pricks, we’d actually be living in the future

Religion > Stays the same. Based on faith and a relationship with a made up entity dependent upon your geographical location.
Actually the earth and all that is in it are the Lord's. Every beat of your heart and every blessing and good thing in your life is by his grace. Isn't that nice?

There is no wealth of information on the net that exceeds all the good secrets of the bible, hidden in orthodoxy. What you call the death spasms will usher in an age of more devout and dedicated believers. There is goodness in God, you just have to find it and I'm sure you will Donnie. I hope your weekend is going swell!
You’re really hung up on this orthodoxy shit, aren’t you?

Enjoy your bacon-wrapped shrimp.

No Donnie, I'm hung up on the truth and the truth is hidden in orthodoxy. No doubt you are in search of it so I pray that you find it. Thanks for taking the time out of your morning to fellowship with me brother.

Orthodoxy is just militant adherence to mythology.

Yes, Pharoah and all his technological and military might was humbled by the desert God of a bunch of slaves and goat herders. God takes what is weak and makes it strong and he humbles the mighty in their arrogance. I see you are somewhat learned in bible things. That is great news as the Torah is one of my favorite books so we have plenty to discuss there.

Those are vague articles with slippery language from religious outlets.

I trust scientists way more than I do priests.
Their respective track record are no comparison.

Those were the first two that popped up, thus I said so….just look into it….it’s a fascinating study no matter what…I spent a couple days on a deep dive on the subject. Funny thing is that a lot of stuff that I read and quite a few videos have disappeared…

"Prevailing views."

That means subject to change. It's also documented Joseph ruled Egypt so there are more problems with secular criticisms of biblical accounts.
You’re obviously uneducated about these things.
There is ZERO mention of Joseph in any ancient Egyptian narrative. ZERO.

It’s funny you guys are talking about ancient Egypt and the Jews. I was watching a video about this subject…. Premise of the video was the Egyptians scrubbed their own history…or something similar. It was interesting.
