2023 Gear Goals

Yeah thanks man! I agree it’s a decent trade through and through. I didn’t want to spend the extra money on my end but I’m hoping it’s worth it for getting decent recordings.

I don’t have an interface at the moment, it’s the last piece of the puzzle. Still researching. I know I wanted a decent transformer based mic pre for the mics but I’m struggling to find a decent interface to take advantage of it.
The Audient iD22 and iD44 both have two channels with sends/returns where you can bypass the mic pres by just going straight into the returns. I don’t know if any other audio interface manufacturers have picked up on this or not but its a great feature especially at the price of the Audients. They’re great interfaces in general. I’m sure there are others with even better driver quality but I’ve been using an iD44 for years in a Windows environment w/Reaper and never really have any issues.

My “single barrel” parts caster through a 3 monkeys orangutan.

But yea I know you probably meant in the clips section lol

Nice playing, but you totally forgot to stick yore gaping maw into the camera, bro.

You gotta subscribe to my only fans for those videos.

Oh you meant my face?

Here’s an older one of my first play on a Reason Reato. Creamy tube vibrato goodness

I’ll always want more guitars. That will never change, regardless of what I already own. I have no desires to thin any herds nor limit myself out of some sort of desire to be a minimalist. Fuck that. :ROFLMAO:

I started building a non-modeling rig last year, I want to put together a pedalboard/amp rig mostly geared towards Gilmour/EJ/pre-1985 kinda tones. A single channel head I just stack drives with, some kind of loop switcher so I’m not tap dancing….so it can sit in the corner of my apartment and never get used while I turn on my Fractal gear. Still deciding on the amp because there’s too many fucking options and I love so many of them.

So hopefully deciding on an amp/attenuator and then wiring up a pedalboard. I have 11 fucking dirt pedals with no home.

The majority of my musical goals are just writing/recording, which has come back in full swing after a straight year of writer’s block.

Pedal board w/ RJM PBC-10… Can’t wait to go down that rabbit hole. And a couple parts guitar builds in mind…

I’ve decided on an Apollo one usb interface for the ISA two mic pre. They have a special going on right now with included analog software packages that’s really hard to turn down. The internal mic pres can also be turned off. I’ll be planning on using studio one as the DAW.

Don't really have much gear goals, just getting a pickup for a shitty Ibanez LP copy, and I nead to get the R2 channel on my Mark IV fixed, it's been acting up lately. Fuckin Boogies, I have nothing but problems with their amplifiers. It pisses me off.

As I posted in another forum.....I was just going to get strings and picks.

Apparently that stuck like butter on ice.

I got a new guitar last week and I have a new amp smaller amp coming next week.

Oh well....here's to trying again in 2024!

Reduce inventory, clear out unused items in studio, don't buy new, only local used.

Buy every guitar I don't need and play it through an amp that's way too loud and big for my space.

Waiting on a nice Luxxtone Choppa T for 2023. Not sure when I will get it - maybe late Summer?

I would like to sell my Morris. Other than that probably nothing more in the plan.
