the violence seems to be escalating; and politicians want to use it to reduce/eliminate our 2A rights instead of actually trying to address the problem and causes. I heard some idiot fired into the crowd at music festival:

no solutions just more government corruption, malfeasance and incompetence. IMO. SMH

why we need our 2A right.
2A isn't going anywhere AFAIK. They just want to stop crazies, people with violent tendencies, and AR weapons that nobody needs. There's no way an AR whatever will stop a corrupt government. That's just a little pea shooter that goes pew pew. That shit ain't stopping tanks and jets and shit.

actually, many states already put conditions on exercising our 2A rights; many more jurisdictions want to add more infringements including various bans, fees, etc. if you look into it. It's not what they say, it's what they do.

Just like the MAGA's will get over the fear of gays when they befriend one.
NEVER, Fella............you're obviously drunk already.

If I know they're gay upfront they'll never be my friend.

I SHOULD NOT be able to tell they're gay and If I can WHY is that?

When they meet me they wouldn't be able to tell I just had a hetero threesome..........HOW could they.

I'll put it this way. You'll get over fear of guns when you own, and carry one.
I'm not afraid of guns. Been shooting since I was 5. I don't shoot for fun and have no real need for 1 so I don't have any at my place. Just a couple rifles and a shotgun at my dads. I see no need for AR type weapons being in average citizens hands. The way things have been going though I have considered getting a pistol and CC permit. Something I am afraid of is people that haven't learned how to safely handle firearms from an early age.

By AR, do you mean semi-automatic rifles with magazine-fed ammunition? :D

Good thing the authors of the Constitution didn't make any distinctions in the types of arms citizens could own. They remembered, and likely knew, the colonists in Lexington and Concord whose arms were comparable to the British regulars allowing them to resist the British army more effectively.

"On every question of construction of the Constitution let us carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit of the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed." - Thomas Jefferson

If only we could, Mr. Jefferson, but many today seek to remove and deny our inalienable rights just as those you faced and defeated in your time.

"shall not be infringed" - so far it's only 2A, and parts of 1A, being infringed; why worry about it? /S
