they can be mean...there's a pile around here also. I watched one chase down a cat one day.....nope that was a fox, my bad....

Yeah, I've seen them pretty damn big too. The kittens were the size of domestic cats. I need find the pictures of the kittens, or maybe it was a video

But the whole time the kittens were playing on the trail, I knew mom was watching, so we were extra careful to not let the kittens get to close.

I see the videos of people with a lynx for a pet. Never seen a bobcat one. Never looked for one though so anything is possible I suppose.

I've been telling my wife I want one for years. LOL

Interesting in that video, those bobcats are on the small size. I bet whoever initially bought them did so from some breeder that breeds them small so people can manage them.

I guess if you get one early and it imprints on you. Would be cool. I have a bud that wants a pet fox. I said it would be fine till it pisses on your floor and you have to remove your floor. Apparently fox piss is worse than napalm. I can only imagine what a bobcat would be like.

I agree with this. Americans need to stop fighting one another, and come up with a solution.

We need to reopen mental institutions. Families of the mentality ill have 0 tools to help, (by law) they cannot restrain or remove dangerous items from the mentally ill family members.

The other problem is we need some way of restricting sales to mentally unstable people. The problem with this, that's most of the MAGAs :ROFLMAO:
I thought this was a cat thread??

Well it was 2A thread that got derailed to big cats we want as pets, and rugs :ROFLMAO:

BTW I shot my nephews S&W 460 a few weeks ago. Feels, shoots, and looks just like the S&W 500 I had, but with much cheaper ammo <$2 a round, as apposed to $5 I was paying for my 500 (and that was like 15 years ago)

I want one now :ROFLMAO:
Buddy got a 454 casull lever action and put an eotech on it. Sweet little rig. With that barrel you can add about 500fps to published velocities.

S&W 500 is a blast. I don't use it often, and I found a good source for ammo before the pandemic. I can't imagine the snubnose model with a 3.5" barrel!

Crazy the price difference with the 460 ammo, I think 500 just has the novelty tax
The .460 is probably the better cartridge if not just for the versatility of anything chambered in it but the .500 would sure be fun casting slugs for.

He hunts in Ohio. Straight wall cartridges only. Guess it’s all flat.
You ever heard of the Billy Dixon shoot? 1538 yards with a straight wall sharps 45-70. I forget where the original incident took place but the comanches were surrounding a fort preparing to attack and Billy Dixon takes his rifle and knocks a comanche off his horse at 1538 yards. The comanches decided they weren't interested in fighting that day after that. Every year they have a Billy Dixon shoot where that's the target distance. Rainbow trajectory. I love them old sharps rifles. It's a great cartridge and a very hard hitter at that.

It’s a man killer…or anything else. It was a military cartridge and was used prolifically in competition shooting back in the day. I think it was what they were using when they were shooting on their backs with the rifle propped up on their feet. Also black powder can be super accurate because it behaves the same pretty much constantly. I had a couple 98’s in 30.40 krag…and a couple 03’s, but never one of the 45.70’s. There’s a few people who use them for deer and bears around here. The lever guns.
