To me, the ultimate 5150/savage 120 tone, maybe even more so than clayman for me:

It’s incredible, an incredible album period. That ending riff/breakdown will make you blow your head off. This ruled at the time, still does.

Everything Tompa is involved in is gold, IMO. Too bad he doesn't sound his best in the latest ATG.

I heard Megadeth's 1997 album Cryptic Writings was recorded with one... not sure how true that is? But if it is?? that is the one and only album with a redeemable 5150 tone. The others suck, including Carcass Heartwork and Machine Head. I mean, I can't think of any tones that I'd like to have, they all sound like millions of bees...

Probably heartwork but there was so much other factors with that, including the mega cab they built.

TBDM but same deal.

Sylosis had some pretty killer tone with the mids on 1.

Definitely in flames, I think there was hm2 mixed in there too.

I’m guessing you are referring to nocturnal with the other factors about TDBM and the parallel distortionish sort of thing mark did on that?

Cryptic writings and risk both are 5150

God Forbid - Constitution of Treason

I still remember Doc trying to sell that 5150 in the classifieds on here.

I liked Steve Stevens’ tone on this album.(from the pictures in the cd sleeve, he was using 5150s at this time)

An interview I read with Steve he said Ed gave him some 5150s when they toured together in `93. Steve was using his Marshall`s and Ed said "those are priceless , leave them at home and use these" lol . Steve said he used those 5150 for years after that
