Well, I played an Uber and I liked the tone, particularly on the lower gain channel. Not sure why people said they sounded grainy, didn't think so at all. super, super, super loose though. Like, palm muting was basically pointless.

The Uber tightens up with volume. It's one of those amps that really needs to be cranked to get the goods. I use a boost pedal at lower volumes to get the tightness back.

dunno? the last time I played one was probably 4 years ago, all I remember about it was that it was like playing through an Orange but with more cut.

PRS Archon? Might be up your alley. Few people here own then, can tell you more. Mailman says the Archon is similar to his Deizel amps.

I still think getting a Deliverance and a Power Station is a good idea. I'm glad to hear you're digging your 5150 now though. If you've got the stock Sheffield speaker in there, pull it out ASAP. You'll be a lot happier with something (anything) else.
