Stumbled onto this young lady Aria Huratado and her band Hoity Toity who is apparently now hooked up with Sully Guitars (John Sullivan of the old Jackson Charvel Forum days.... https://www.sullyguitars.com/ ) She's a full on shred machine with a serious jazz background apparently, rips finger style bass as well. She blows away Nita Strauss and could easily do a gig with Jennifer Batten and shine. Worth checking some of her IG clips.

Old thread, but does anyone remember a band called Poison Dollys or something....I think their guitarist, Gina something was meant to be a bit good?
Just a brain fart from an old man....sure I read it in Kerrang! or Metal Hammer)

women from Japan are very good musicians, not just guitar IMO.

Rie aka Suzaku has been a solo guitar artist for many years, here's here latest band that is more jazz/fusion, her older work is more rock/metal:, she also plays classical guitar

Aldious is one of my fav bands, along with BandMaid and Gacharic Spin, all have been around for many years.



Toki and Yosh, guitarists from Aldious; also the drummer in this vid recently left due to health reasons, she's the stepdaughter of Terry Bozzio.

Aldious was formed in 2008, and is still doing well.

Toki has had her sig guitars from ESP for many years; Yoshi has signature Zemaitis guitars, she also plays PRS Miku, from BandMaid, another very good girl band from Japan, has a Zemaitis signature or three)

NITA ISN'T HOT. There, I said it. I don't get it. People keep acting like she is some model but she is an average looking chick with a horsey mouth. Don't get it. Everyone says she is banking off of looks but she looks goofy to me. Playing is alright, nothing to write home about for sure.

Japan has so much amazing music and so many amazing musicians.

Lisa X has done some stuff that makes me feel like I'm learning disabled. She played stuff at 10 that i still can't play. Amazing guitarist.
