Dude thats great. My brother is a pro body builder just took 3rd at the Olyimpia. I was heavily into it for about 6 years. My best advice to you is to do CARDIO. The cardio is what is going to take the weight off. The first 2 weeks you are going to lose mostlly water weight, then the weight loss will slow down. Eat low carbs and high protein. Stop eating carbs after 3pm. The reason for that is the bodies matabalism slows down later in the day and you wont process the carbs. They will be stored as fat. Eat clean and smaller meals just like you are doing. You will feel and look better in a few months.

A lot of this is sound... But rather than eat Low carbs you should eat Complex Carbs... when you eat almost no carbs you train your body to convert Protein into carbs... (you can't convert fat into carbs).

If you are dieting that means you have to eat less than you need to sustain yourself, and you burn fat for fuel... Problem is that if your body is used to converting Protein for carbs it will intead of burning fat, breakdown your muscle and organ protein and convert it... In other words you are canabulizing your organs, and muscle... Your body does this because your Brain is BOSS, and it fires on Pure Glucose... SO when you eat low carbs and your are in a negitive caloric intake and your blood sugar is LOW... That is when you feel lightheaded, and your body breaks down it's protein tissues to feed your brain.

So... Eat Low Glycemic Index Carbs LIKE: Oatmeal & Brown Rice This will speed your metabolism by keeping your blood sugar moderately high causing you to burn more calories 24hrs a day, and help stop muscle and organ wasting while losing weight.

Also Anarobic excersise like weightlifting is perfect for losing weight because your muscles store glucose, and when you lift the muscle burns it, and needs to replace it... So when you eat and have high blood sugar, and your pancreas releases insulin to control it, instead of it getting stored as fat, the insulin will bring it to your hungry muscles to store for the next time there is a demand.

Best,

Roid RAGE

I wont say that I'm on a diet but I changed the way I'm eating and living. Brad said a really great way to look at the way you eat by saying "if it doesn't come out of the ground or it doesn't have a mother I dont eat it" thats really a great statement Brad, and thats what I've been living by!! I've been very disgusted with the way I've become a fat pig so I started on Feb 3rd and as of this morning I've dropped 32lbs and I'm well on my way! I was as heavy as 325 but when I started this I was at 318 I'm 6'2". It sucked at 1st but now I'm used to eating lighter meals and eating 6 times a day. I'm doing a little lifting and very little cardio so far as I'm working to much but I'm going to start the cardio. My goal is to get down to 230 and stay below 240 at all times. I'm very motivated and seeing the results so far help even more I was a tight 44 or a loose 46 and now a 42 waist! Thanks for the sucess story Brad!!
congrats man, thats awesome. Brad looks like a killing machine, I was shocked when I saw the vid of him stalking the hooters girl     I need to get in on this too, but I'm still trying to quit smoking :aww: I've made progress though, this is next

we have quite a good support group going here!! everyone keep it up & share tales from the "lifestyle change". doing it alone sucks...but together we can all help each other.

hell, im down like 20lbs going into week#4 of diet & gym. More to go!!!

I'm 6'2 215 and could stand to loose 25 lbs myself. My problem is that ALL of my fat is centered around my gut. I've had the most success loosing weight with a low carb diet and cardio. With 2 little ones running around at home I find it hard to squeeze cardio in :scared:

This is good motivation!
Reading this and not feeling like "I am the only one" in this battle FIRED ME UP AGAIN!
I was doing 15 minutes of Cardio a day and some weights.
Now bumping up to 25 minutes of Cardio!
Also going to tighten the diet up a little more as well.

Need to burn off this extra pounds!

I've been on the bike 5 times a week since Jan and have lost 16lbs so far. I'm down from 197 to 181 and shooting for 170. It's also 10 days since I had a cigarette

Wow.....double whammy. Quitting smoking must be a bitch. I never picked that habit up but my Girlfriend has quit twice and it was hard. Now she is slowly starting back up again.....
