Alright, here is the update as of 3/24

On 3/17 I got an email with tracking info. Which was Tuesday, was told it was scheduled for a friday ups pick up.. not sure why it had to be set for a Friday since the guitar is supposed to be finished.

3/19,3/20,3/21,3/22 and 3/23 ups tracking shows they are waiting on the package to arrive to them.

Sent a follow up on 3/24, received a response, that the ball was dropped yet again, rescheduled UPS pick up for tomorrow, with the possibility of it needing to be taken to a drop off location.

I will say this, the new communications guy they have does seem very sympathetic and has been on top of communicating with me, had this been the case since Sept of 25, I would be a lot less frustrated right now.

I'm sure the new communications guy was hired with intent of getting someone "sympathetic" sounding because I would guess you aren't the only guy who is getting screwed by this trainwreck guitar repair co. No doubt they are getting heat. I would bet the dude started work on your guitar early last week after having it since September and this is the game he's gonna play to make it look like it's going out at any moment until it actually does. What a bunch of douchebags.

I have been dealing with the exact same issue from this luthier. I’m debating whether I should post about my experience where he’s promised me something and has gone radio silent since then. I just don’t want to get doxxed and have him and his crew retaliate somehow! Central Florida is not for the weak!!

Post up, he is far more concerned about his big contracts than the little one off guys...

No, not yet.
Can't say I'm surprised. I've seen this kind of crap in the guitar and firearms world a million times. Rest easy knowing that eventually it comes crashing down around them.

In the meantime you and parr0t get held hostage cause if you straight badmouth him like he deserves he can choose to play the game longer. It's pretty apparent your guitars are both still sitting somewhere in the back of his shop in the condition you sent them....

Oh, im not quiet ready to post the emails and texts, but if you want to get good and fired up... I just got told "relax man, you'll get your guitar"

Yeah he needs payment up front but for you it's "relax man". Great guy. What a douchebag.

Yeah. Me and Von were outraged for you guys, then get told everything is changing. Not seeing any change.

But i wish you guys the best.
So if your shop is so backed up that you can't get a guitar out in 2 or 3 months, why would you even accept the work? Pretty apparent LRC guitars out of Orlando isn't concerned with caring for their customers. OP could've taken a few courses and learned how to repair broken guitar headstocks himself in the amount of time this shop has taken.

I took it to arguably the most respected shop in Alabama, they didn’t want to try to fix it, it wasn’t the typical smooth grain split, I was advised to contact Gibson about a full neck replacement, so I did.. and was told it would be atleast 3 grand.

I have photos somewhere, and I’ll do a before and after when I finally get it back, but when I spoke with the shop and he told me what he was going to do, it made a lot of sense.

I was told going in that responses would be slow, even their auto email response says it can take a couple of days to get a reply, which I am fine with, and up until I submitted the final payment, that was the case, after I paid, it went from 2-3 days to weeks.

Just got word the guitar was just dropped off at a UPS drop location.. should see tracking movement Mon or Tues, hopefully, it is at the house waiting for me when I get back home next Friday.
That’s awesome! I’m hoping you get your guitar soon bud. It’s been radio silence for me…

I kind of live in Orlando, to be honest. His shop is good 1+ hour away from where I’m at, though…

Have you tried emails in the last month? They have another person handling them now, and he was actually responding.

I did! All I got was that condescending auto reply where he goes on and on about how awesome they are and how busy they seem to be. “IF YOUR QUESTION IS ANSWERED IN THIS EMAIL YOU WILL NOT GET A REPLY” 🤡
