Anyone score a Zzounds 2203x blowout?

For me, it is indeed a rush cranking up any amp super super loud to where the windows start to whine a little....gotta stand off axis a little though....or else you can really injure your ears...but man, just some quick Zep or AC/DC or whatever riffs for 30 seconds, so fun...then shut er down.
What a blast.
Yes. Lmao. I try to stand off to the side. But sometimes i stand right in front like an asshole blowing myself to Valhalla

I am glad you said it. I wanted to say the same thing, but I have never cranked a twin so felt unqualified. I can only speak to what I think cranking a twin would be. And as loud as I play, I know that cranking the maz 18 is the loudest I could ever crank a clean amp.

In my experience... I would rather be in the same room with a cranked Plexi than a cranked Twin.. Twins are just fucking brutally uncomfortable past 5-6 on the volume control.

I've had both and a two valve G bugle blows them both away.

Sounds all too loud for me. I try to stay under 120 dbs.

My DR 504 with 2 EV loaded cabs is the loudest amp I've played. Stoooopid loud.

Yep not surprising. and that's the 50 watt lol

I've played a million amps, owned a million amps, and even built a ceriatone 103 (which turned out amazing btw)

The absolute, no doubt, 100% loudest guitar amps i've ever experienced are hiwatts and it isn't particularly close

A cranked plexi is visceral and raw. A cranked twin can get painful. A big GA-50 or 200 rhythm king can fill the hell out of a big room or theater; a hiwatt's headroom just keeps going and going and going and doesn't stop, and cranking one up is well into "dangerous permanent hearing damage" territory

They are not, however, DR103 with fanes or EV12L loud
That'd probably keep up with a G bugle, lol. People think I'm kidding, until they stand in a G bugle's line of fire. There is a reason they were used in military engagements to signal troops. Unbelievable levels of projection.

I believe it, however now were talking apples and oranges lol

Post reported. Put the tan pants down.

Well, it set a new baseline for me. The only things I can think of immediately with more ear shocking power is a jet engine or a top fuel dragster. I had a bike with big straight pipes and upswept trumpet mufflers. That must've been close to 130dB when you were seated on it and closed the throttle, LOL. I guess I've never stood in front of a hiwatt, and tbh, don't really want to.

A cranked DR103 is a thing of glory, 100% but it's seriously dangerous volume levels

I cranked mine up in my garage to record some clips and the 711 two and a half blocks away were the ones who called the cops for the noise complaint

It's such an amazing sound but you'd have to be fucking nuts to be one of the "gigs with one" guys. If i had to do it over, i'd do a 504 like @67mike

Same tone, just a little bit easier to handle

LOL! Awesome. I rolled my Plexi out of my parents garage back in the day and it could be heard a couple miles away through the woods when cranked. I've thought about cranking my Twins on the porch for 4th of July star spangled banner action. It'd probably travel four miles down to Valero since I'm up on a vantage point, LOL.
