I think this is one of the coolest sites around for the guitarist. The ability to talk with many big names in the amp world plus the ability to share personal experiences using different equipment with people who really know what they are talking about is great. It feels like you walked into a room filled with people who care about and talk about the same things I do. And they will take the time to talk with you. We are all on the life time quest for the "magical" tone we hear in our heads and a lot of what is said here is spot on. I recommend to plenty of people who play to come and check out the site.
BUT ALL I CAN SAY NOW IS "THIS SUCKS".

reading pm's is a violation of peoples privacy, but unfortunately it does get done. (but it shouldn't)
banning people sucks, but sometimes it HAS to be done, just make sure its not for your own personal reasons.
the rules should be posted and stuck to, no matter who breaks them, and then a warning system should be used.
flame wars should be avoided, personal information should never be posted, and if it is done so, the admin has the responsibility to remove it, and ban the person putting it up.
the rest is all fluff and nonesense, till we get down to business and talk gear

As a kid they kept him in a cage at day care but we cant blame them because he kept reaching down the other little boys pants saying "Carly bird loves to eat the worm."
All the years of confinement messed with his head.
Ehh, Carl is just being Carl. He is entertaining though. I think he's just a frustrated never-was, who feels the need to act superior from time to time, so as to justify his failure as a man and gets so offended when someone challenges his opinion, in his own mind, he faces the trauma of not only being a failed musician, but being a failed lonely human being, watching his reflection in the mirror, more closely resembling howard stern and weird Al, than his former image of a young big bird, staring on sesamie street. Stuck in the 70's when he so proudly recalls his gear purchasing hey day. Now only a former shadow of his youth, remains in the fractured mind which was broken when he realized he was the last member to wear a members only jacket.

I remember when that happened...that definitely ruined it for me and I even contributed a track for the charity CD and enjoyed posting there.
I haven't been here for a couple months because there were a few threads that were so unbelievably retarded that it infected the rest of the place IMO. I even contributed $$ to the help keep this place going.
However, I got an email today saying that I received a PM and since I hadn't been here in quite a while I was a little surprised. I logged in and there was no PM there. Guess I know what happened to it. 
This forum was really good especially to buy and sell stuff bc you always knew you could trust the other guy and vice versa. I bought and sold here regularly with no probs at all. Seeing that go will be a drag.
Dramtic douchebaggery seems to dwell on every board I have ever been on. Inflated egos are a bitch...
