I haven't been around much but only want to say I hope everyone will figure out a way to get things straightened out. I went to the first Rig-Talk board that only lasted a matter of days and then immediately here because I thought it was a really good idea even though I wasn't really having a major problem with HC myself but saw that other people were.

I think the manufacturers' forums have been a great idea, and I am glad to have been able to read some people's posts who stopped posting at HC.

I just hope it gets worked out. It sucks when sometimes people you have no problem with end up having problems with each other. I'm going to stay out of the this but just want to say that I hope everything will work out.

I started using this place as my main hang out to avoid crap like this.

I have to tell you, if any of this stuff about Mitch is even remotely true, it pisses me off. I made a pretty damn significant contribution to help keep this place going and it may turn out to be pissed away.


I have always looked at this place as Thumps creation and vision. Mitch's role was viewed as the head tech guy who made sure everything runs well/smoothly and keeps things updated (a damn important position!!!).

Taking ownership of the rigtalk name and whatever else goes along with it is pretty shitty thing to do. Reading PM's is even shittier. Random messing with peoples accounts (I have seen this myself...though not to mine) is deploreable (sp).

I have no intention of getting involved in the drama. but will watch to see how things are handled and either head elsewhere or stay here(MY PREFERENCE!) if things are handled properly.

agreed, nice post, couldn't have put it better myself. Apart from the donation, i didn't donate. Good choice I guess, but i feel very sorry for those who did.

I never even had a problem with Carl (even though I definitely don't agree with some of the things he's said over time) or Mike but saw that apparently a good number of people did, and I know this whole current situation isn't really due to those two posters. Why not just setup another hosting site, register another Domain name and do it all in YOUR name, then transfer the existing rigtalk forum's data that you own?

I would certainly reset my bookmark as I'm sure EVERYONE else would as well, leaving mitch to to his nonsense and build his own site.

i hope things can get straightened out, good honest people are what makes this community worth a damn...how many places can you honestly go to a forum, find a $2000 guitar/amp for sale, and trust someone on the other side of the continent enough to buy it straight from him?

with a community like that, you'd expect something a little better from the people running it (i know it looks like just one guy causing this crap, so i'm not bashing everyone here...but common sense should tell you that doing someone wrong can ruin you when it comes to things like this)
