I thought of making a trebuchet for fun but anything other than a tiny one takes up a lot of room + you have to find somewhere to fire it. I don't really have the room.

I do. I want to fling bowling balls at cars on the highway. Problem is the highway is about 800 yards across the river and adjacent farmer's field from me. It'd have to be one hell of a trebuchet.

I have a couple cardboard slingshot guns a buddy gave me for Christmas. You have to put them together which is a pain in the ass. And the rubber bands are too long, rendering them really "Safe". I haven't gotten around to sourcing better rubber bands for more velocity yet, but I will.

The pump shotgun can hold 5 bands and reloads by pumping it, like a shotgun.

Not quite Floyd. I didn’t have access to cool shit like that out in east bumfuck, but I used to empty out 12 gauge slugs (had an anbundance of those) and blow up my GI Joes!

I had 12 and 20 gauge reloaders. I used to load shells full of nuts and bolts or stacks of dimes. Very destructive. Lots of fun.

My dad was also born in 40. He was a city boy though. Most of the trouble I got into I figured out by myself.

The rock salt thing is a thing though. I got it more than once. A shortcut from the bowling alley to a big neighborhood where a lot of my friends lived required me crossing a farmer's field. He was waiting, more than once.

I'm sure. My dad and his brother had a reputation as well. Mostly my dad. He was, eh, not a gentle soul let's say. It's hard to see him these days. 84 and in dementia. He has totally reverted to childhood. Bums me out.

I hear all the time from people at work that buy from him, they think he’s great!
