In my decision-making process for what color I want my new Aristides build to be, I came across this. All three photos are the same guitar. Can't trust photos you find online when trying to decide on finishes lol.

That first one could definitely lead you the wrong way.

But, you're right and not only photos themselves, but the monitor (and settings) you view them on can change things too.

Yeah all look pretty different, that 3rd one looks like an Ovation. :)

Is that finish one of the 'shifting' ones, like EBMM mystic dream? Can't quite tell if it's the finish changing, or just lighting (difference between photos 1 and 2 is definitely at least partially indoor lighting vs. sunlight to my eyes).

Nah, it's called Dark Grey Sapphire Marble. This one looks to be a slight burst as well. It's not a color shifting one.

The better question is, why would you want a guitar with a cut away right where you would plant your picking hand. That is a god awful design and you are limiting your resale to those guitarist that don't rest their hands, of which there aren't a lot. It's a classic example of form over function.

Many people own these guitars. Not one of them has ever complained as far as I can tell. I don't rest my hand anywhere near those cutouts. My hand typically stays on or near the bridge. Sometimes I rest my pinky on the guitar below the high e string. It's a non-issue to me. You don't like it? Don't buy one, geez.

You're right, I was being a douche and I'm sorry. Different strokes as they say.
