The coupling cap arrangement / voltage dividers are there, Jose master with similar clipping threshold, are there any other amps that offer that arrangement aside from the subtleties? I have mutual friends and know dude agrees. Hopefully he will offer these again and get with the right people, he’s a great artist and I don’t want to recommend ballpark clones.

They are doing similar mods. And while I have my issues with Mark and his terrible business practices over the years...nobody can take away from the fact that he is a killer guitar player.

It would take a monumental effort on his part and I for one would love to see it happen and would root for the guy to make amends. I would love to own a CCV hand built by him. Just remember who you would be supporting.

There are a lot of people that just don't know the entire history. I don't blame them because they hear the amps and hear the tone and want it...but man, having went through all the drama....

there are people doing his mods. That circuit is very sensitive to everything in the chain, including the player. If you get one and plug it into any old cab and guitar, it’s not going to sound like the NAMM video. Listen to clips from psycho Dave and Halebox. They can get that grind out of various amps. Also, in the NAMM videos, marks pretty much got the mods and treble cranked. Many people judge an amp by how it sounds with the controls in the middle.

Before Chris, Brad, and the failed CCV revival, there were the customer’s Marshalls robbed of mod money with no amplifier ever returned. I’ve even read stories he sold customers’ amps to make money without their knowledge. I remember at some point a storage of amplifiers was found and he didn’t bother to tag anything as to who owned what amplifier and why it was even there. It was a complete and total mess. Before that, he got fired from working with Bogner for getting caught red handed stealing transformer specifications.

His river runs deep and he keeps a tight click with people who will ignore his past and shit that he’s done to others just so they can get their own piece of the Cameron pie.

I personally would rather not have a Cameron anything with his name attached to it regardless of how it sounds. And what’s sad, is that he did this to himself. A little bit of compassion for others goes a long way, but when you screw cheat or lie your way to the top, is it really the top? Hard, hard pass.

I started typing a novel, but it’s just too much.

There were definitely some mods that weren’t delivered, and amps that never made it back to their owners.

There were definitely a dozen or so CCVs that never made it to folks who had purchased them directly from Mark.

There was no storage unit full of untagged amps that belonged to Mark; that story stems from Jose Arredondo’s death, and untagged amps at his shop that were sold off to a local(ish) music shop. Mark definitely spent some time with those amps.

The whole endeavor with Brad, Rob and Dave was destined to fail from the start.

Mark has his issues, but in the years where I saw him on a regular basis, he was definitely not a drug addict.

I’m not a part of any clique, but I’ve owned and played as many Cameron amps as anyone I’m aware of, and what he does, he does very well.

the Bogner thing wasn’t for stealing transformers specs. Anyone can do that without working there, it’s not hard. It was for stealing actual transformers. I know a guy that owned a Cameron modded amp with. Shiva output transformer

I believe He got fired from vht for getting info from mercury about the transformers i believe , i think Steve found out and flipped out.

He got fired from bogner for throwing an xtc through a window , ask Jorg ...

There is an active thread about someone's guitar not being finished and restored well on here right now where the guitar shop is getting crucified... and the owner got his guitar back ... imagine the damage of all the people who have not been made whole at all by Mark?

How can we even allow these guys to use rig talk as a platform to sell anything? Just the principle makes me sick. Like I said , remember who you will be sending your money to, if your good with that then thats your call ...

AMEN! I’ve given him more than 10 years to make things right and return a preamp he was modding for me, but I’ve received nothing. I never participated in the online forums regarding anything negative towards Mark because I was being hopeful he would make things right. All was good and smooth sailing prior to him contacting me back in December of 09 trying to sell me a CCV he was selling (Probably out the back door) and I couldn’t swing it at the time because my place of employment was shutting down. He’s been ghost since then for the most part other than trying to sell me on having him mod a Sovtek for me while still not returning my preamp. I sold off my two Cameron Marshall’s to get rid of the bad taste left behind. I still have my modded Uberschall which I plan on selling to be Cameron free.

I don't get on here much these days, but I have been very quietly watching on the side lines about everything , because I have not forgotten, and I know there are others as well.

Anyone who would send Mark a DIME should get their head checked. ! I know that he does business with Jason , a guy who has a good rap sheet for getting people what they pay for, but ! on fricken principle people should not give Mark a cent after all the shit he has pulled on DOZENS of people that I know personally, Including MYSELF.

Dude is super talented and his amps are great but unfortunatly until Mark makes shit right for the all of a sudden FORGOTTEN people who got burned and RIPPED OFF, my opinion will never change.
