Considering I just spent $7,800 on property tax, its safe to say I wont be buying any gear for Christmas or in the near future.

Wow that is insane. Maybe you could have it rolled into a monthly payment? There's no way I could come up with 8k every year all at once.

Ya, I set aside about $650 every month, so when I get the bill I pay it all at once.
Makes sense to roll it in the payments though.

I will admit, those Sweetwater 48mo 0% interest deals are very tempting during the holidays. lol

Fedex just dropped off a new Fender Malmsteen Strat.
Fit,finish, all good.
Disappointing tone wise. Thought it would get some strat tones.
Neck width is to thin.
Maybe a fatter neck and a 5 way switch .

and recommended Mullards new CV 40004 preamp tubes. Tried 2
Liked em enough to have her send 4 more that arrived today.

So,today wasnt a total loss

I was just checking the CV4004's out. They look like tung sol's. the mullards cost $25 a pop. For that price, I'd rather have the Ei's...
