Current charvel maple neck finish question

The new charvel maple necks finish are some sort of matte finish. It’s not glossy it’s flat.

I was thinking of removing it and applying something different.

Anyone try this or know what it is.

Probably poly. Lacquer and poly come in different sheens, from dead flat to really shiny.

Yup that's what it is..... Personally the best finish for a guitar. You remove and apply stuff to it, it will not be good IMO.
