Dar amps ? Can anyone reach them ?

ive tried calling the cops over and over again, getting a different person each time this morning, they just keep repeating that its civil, even when i say that its theft and/or fraud its they just ignore what im saying. ill try the mayors office next, lol. anyone else in here trying anything?

lol, i talked to the better business bureau and the attorney generals office, i asked "what if he doesn't respond? or wont comply?" they said at that point there is nothing they could do. lol, wtf? then why even file?

It was one guy, with multiple auctions for Dual Rectifiers (I think it was Dual Recs) on Ebay all with the same photo for a really low price. I think there were 8-10 auctions can't remember exactly.

He got pulled into court over it, I think he had relocated to Phoenix and was playing in a cover band there and was found or something like that.

I'm sure xiwiwix can fill in the incorrect/missing details. :lol: :LOL:

Welcome to the American "justice" system. Criminal behavior is often rewarded and at the very least, looked upon with a "there's nothing we can do" attitude. Courts get their fine money, and then protect their repeat customers (THE CRIMINALS) from victims. I should know... I've been a "victim" on multiple occasions and I do IT work for the courts and law enforcement. It's all a big inside joke, a game to pass the time. The only people who aren't in on the joke (except for when they're the butt of the joke) are the innocent and/or victims.

ETA: The Cliff's Notes version of my rant is this... criminals don't pay for their crimes. YOU (the innocent victim) DO! Isn't a liberal court/legal system great??? :doh:
 
How many of these threads do we have to see? Really?

I like to try to support the little guy, but I would never buy from a one/two man shop. I've seen far too many of these threads. With the economy in as bad shape as it is there is a high probability of failure these days.

Bro - you need to send a registered/certified letter to their business address in Palo Alto, receipt required by the addressee. Just a short note to say that due to the non-fulfillment of your <work to be done or gear supplied>, the date the order was placed and money sent, and by what means the money was sent and that you hereby request your money refunded immediately by whichever means you prefer.

Leave no other outs or anything else. This makes things more official if it does go legal. They can always say they didn't get an email or remember a phone call. A registered letter through the PO, is undisputed.

I think at the very least get ahold of one of those small claims services you can do online. small claims in general is a waste but if you can get the actual judgment in your hand then the sheriff can be used to levy or till tap or bank account tap etc.. its a long shot but a start. if you win you can request an order to appear for financial examination. thats when you get the info you need to tap an account.

goes to show you you can have a great product, tons of money behind it, all the bells and whistles but unless the market allows 50 to 60 units a month, the company is destined to fail. its a high dollar amp with tons of overhead accumulated in the building and marketing process. I spoke to them two years ago. I saw it a mile away. In general who has that kind of cash to spend on a guitar amp.

Ha... I did an examination and still didn't get a dime out of the scumbag because he didn't bring everything to the examination and lied about some also (gave me a wrong bank account number). Small claims court is valuable only if your debtor knows nothing about how powerless that system is. My understanding is that Dar is outside of the U.S. so small claims is out of the question anyway.

Do not take my words for literal, i was just saying with the company in shambles and the owners playing dodgeball with customers (and possibly creditors) there is a small chance they are still located there. Would be nice if it could be verified though.

Same thing happened to me for a much smaller amount unrelated to gear but, i dont know. it just sucks there is so much of this in the amp biz.

In the meantime, I checked the location. The addresses of both shops on each side leaves that address to be one of these two places :confused:
