Seriously though… I have been a fan since a buddy loaned me the first cd right when it came out. Never heard anything like it before. Heavy af…. The vocals would switch and dude would actually sing… I thought damn this is really good… and Dino is a machine… plus throwing in the concept album thing was kinda next level. Rhythm section is insane also. Just a killer band. The second album was transcendent. Kinda like typo negative as well. First album is just monstrously heavy and aggressive then the second albums are just like wtf? Where did this come from? Insanely talented band.

I have to agree. Ive been a fan since 2022. I started my Journey with "Linchpin" music video. I always loved the heavy intro riff which is later broken by a masterpiece pre-chorus and chorus. The tone, the playstyle, the genius. Later on mechanized and bleed the fifth (DivineHeresy) albums kicked in, and man... i wasnt ready for such heavy and fast blast. If you want ill post more, pretty sure i have Obsolete touring era rig article and 2013 turing rig article too.

Your first post…my favorite is the red ibby with the white guard.

Pickup in it was Prototype and exclusive for DIno's own LA Custom shop's, the EMG707DC, fortunate enough my friend has one of those prototypes in White casing that never made it to any of Dinos guitars when he had it...

That’s cool…. 😎 awesome thread. Any info on his stolen Marshall?

That’s the perfect 7 string for me…. Love it
Oh yeah, Dino had a great taste specing his stuff back in the day. This was the era of Great LA custom shops coming from Ibanez overall, the guys behind them were Tak hosono (main builder) and his friend Ed Liang who currently works at ESP US. Ed and Dino were togather inventors of the aesthetic, custom MOP hand carved by Tak Hosono inlays combined with white bindings, metallic sparkle paint jobs, one pickups, reverse headstock... Brutal!
