I change a high E before every gig to prevent any breakages this way I can bring one guitar to the show and not sweat breaking strings. If you've never broken a string at a gig you haven't done enough gigs.

I'm surprised that no one has selected the second to last answer given the high level of it's occurrence.
Curious what y'all have your Doctorate or PhD in, though? :ROFLMAO:

My jackson locking tuners were eating high strings for a while until I sanded down the insides with a heavy gauge. I still don’t really trust ‘em. I value knowledge and learning but school is typically just an indoctrination/socialization mill for the establishment.

Well, I’m three credits shy of a Criminal Justice degree, needed a family court class.
This is back around ‘94.
Took the Sheriff's exam and scored within the top third.
By time I was contacted for an interview I had already accumulated two felonies.
I was doing ok for myself, driving Class B, delivering propane.

Then, while serving a year in jail, they’d send me to “men’s groups” to talk about things.
Family, jobs, what will you do to reinvent yourself once you are released.
They preached going back to school and with my record, a criminal justice degree was pretty useless.

Had no idea what to do but loved music. Got my bus token on release day and decided I’d go back to school again for music. Maybe some recording. Used to have a four track I loved messing with.

Anyways, took some time to get back into school due to my background.
Finished high honors with an AAS in Music Theory and another AAS in Digital Audio Recording.

Don’t use any of it anymore and was a much better player then.
Music theory is like learning a second language. Need to use it to retain it. Not that I have forgotten everything.
Kind of a waste though, I should have went back for some kind of computer or cyber security gig?

And then life gets in the way…

I didn't vote at all because neither "Forklift Certified" nor "Randy Rhoads Scholar" are in yore list.

The government banned me from asking about previous forklift experience, and I figured the latter was a given.

Maybe you should reapply. These days they'd probably make you a priority hire as a de-escalation guy or something. Plus we could use some deputies and sheriffs who aren't asswipes and I'd say you qualify as a cool guy. I'd love to have you working this beat out here, most of these guys here are like angry butterball turkeys with legs and body armor. The flippin city police is better than them, which is the complete opposite of my normal experiences.

Appreciate the reply VB, but I’m getting aged.
Plus, I’m not into todays society at all…

I have a Bachelors of Science in ecology, evolutionary and wildlife biology. I also have a minor in Latin and a couple of certifications that (at least in the job world) are considered near equivalent to a masters in chemistry. Main one of those is National Registrar of Certified Chemists.

Also, Butter!
