Does anyone use this device as an effects processor only with their gear? How does it compare to a g major II or POD Pro? Thanks.

I tried it that way and it sounded good. If I remember correctly the Tape delay was one of the best things in it. I used the Flange,Phase and chorus, easy to program, dials would have a mark where they originally were after you moved the dial. Much easier to program than any of the axes. Great unit but I just didn't like using Avid for recording, now you can use Garage band with it.

Want great effects gsp 1101. 11 is ok. Very basic. Very limited effects.
