Cool find! Funny you bring that track up —the Dream Is Over is one of my favorite tones on that album.

I had thought it was an SLO—turns out it was a CAE 3+ preamp provided by John Suhr. Unsure of the power section, but definitely the 3+ on that.
 
When I think of "what if... VH did more albums with DLR", I always think of those 2:




Can you imagine what that album would’ve been like?? It would’ve been a scorcher!! Talk about a missed opportunity.

Ya both songs were killer . Eddie was on fire atm . Even humans being thst year with Sammy was fire
 
I still have the issue of Guitar World where Ed did a interview for the Album and it was in fact the CAE into a modded Marshall head using the "Power amp in" (effects loop).
I guess there was a little bit of everything all over that record.
