Fake Fender Outrage by ShitFluencers/CuckFluencers......

Gibson Steps on its own D**k ( Play Authentic )

Fender: hold my wine cooler...

Yeah it couldn't possibly be because people are actually mad, it all has to be performative outrage, right? Everything is fine, nothing to see here.

Here's the deal. No matter what, no matter where, more competition is better for the consumer than less competition, in every possible case, zero exceptions. Fender's bullshit is going to mean less competition in the market in a large part of the guitar playing world, which means Fender will be more free to be lazy with their own ideas (if that's even possible these days) and charge way more for the same guitars because where else are people gonna go? People are rightfully mad/disappointed about that.

This can't-see-five-minutes-in-front-of-your-own-face "well it doesn't impact me right this minute because I'm in America so it doesn't matter" sentiment just doesn't work. What if there's some guitar company in Europe that has some great innovation tech that gets pushed out of the market because they happen to not be great at guitar body design so they use the strat body, and that innovation never gets caught and adopted by the big guys? And the butterfly effect is just one of the things we're worried about here. What if you're in Europe and you like the Telecaster body shape but you can't buy a decent telecaster with a humbucker in the bridge because Fender is too goddamn lazy / ignorant / incompetent to make one, so you never get inspired to start that band that gets huge and inspires everybody in America?

It is so unbelievably short sighted to think it's no big deal because this is happening in a place people in America can't physically see right this second. Besides, aren't you guys mostly conservative? Since when have conservatives been against free market competition and for sucking any single company's dick? That's like the entire conservative ballgame. Small government, as little oversight as possible, right? That means you should be against Fender weaponizing the government against other companies that can and will make a better product.

Basically, people are actually pissed because it matters and it will make the guitar playing world worse, even if you can't see it.
Honestly IMO Fender makes a great instrument.....

If You can't make one sound good or think it's not up to par......

Jeez it was good enough for Hendrix or SRV.... And they only played production stuff and no Custom Shop crap....

And todays Quality is better than ever before.... I Guess thats not good enough for some :dunno:

it's just bizniz.

but the strat shape has been around since what, 1954? that's a long time before doing anything about owning the body shape. IMO. still, they did create it first.

seems like some smaller builders are going to need deep pockets for legal defense.

that said, I don't care about social media gear shills' noise, it's "beating a dead horse" levels...AFAIK, none of them are attorneys so they're bloviating

Man I don't know, I think everyone involved can be wrong. Im Fender's case, it seems like they have accepted that they have run out of runway to do anything original that people are interested in under their own name, so they are circling back to try and grab their IP waaaaaay after the fact. Pretty lame at this point.

As far as the YouTube crowd... I mean yeah they are a bunch of dorks. Rhett in particular has a habit of getting on my nerves, I do watch his stuff still but his takes on any issue are so boiler-plate artsy millennial I can near perfectly predict what his opinion will be on any event. Setting aside my annoyance with my generational peers over their general retardation, I just don't find his take to add anything on most topics, I would rather just watch him play Les Pauls into old amps that I'm never going to buy while I'm on the toilet. There are only so many times I can hear the phrase "late stage capitalism" before the aneurysm finally blows and I fall out in the work restroom.

SRVs most famous guitar was highly customized and if were being honest.. a partscaster.

Leo Fender invented the Strat.. when he sold the company, he sold the design too.. Fender owns the Strat, no matter how people try and twist it, it is the Fender Strat.

US Courts have already ruled on this, something about only the headstock can be protected.. Suhr, Anderson, and the rest are still fine, and had that lawsuit not been decided due to one party not showing up there may have been a different outcome, so where is the outrage against the company that fender brought the lawsuit against...for not even bothering to show up.

Conservative folk also believe in individual property rights, and Fender owns the Strat, if the courts here say they don't own the body then its been decided, but I have always found it pretty fucking hilarious when you people try to bash conservatives and tell us what we should believe, and leave out ther other major tenants of what conservatives actually do believe, thats the problem with you leftarded imbeciles. I am also pretty sure, these political type attacks like you started belong in a different forum too.

It was all Fender parts...... No Custom Shop BS back then.... Nothing special.

But nowadays everyone needs cork sniffing BS apparently just to get a decent sound :dunno:

It's just a fact that you have to pay $10k to get an accurate recreation of a mass-produced guitar put together with pine trees and painted with autobody paint.

Yeah, Tim Pierce is just some nobody. Found his recording credits in two seconds by googling.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Pierce_discography

I was going to just copy/paste it into this post but just the bullet point list is literally too long to fit into a single Rig Talk post. So yeah, just some youtuber.
I got nothing against Tim Pierce, and lord knows he's made way more money playing music than I have, but, Jesus, that discography is the biggest collection of lame ass, crap music I have ever seen in one place.

I disagree with zero exceptions, Consumers are dumb, and as a result the decreased quality that has become standard in the industry. Competitor A figures they can under Competitor B bu making a substandard modification to a bridge for example. The customer may not be educated enough to know that Competitor A took a design calling for a steel saddle and replaced the part with a die cast part. The competitor thinks they're getting a great deal, when in reality they are getting what they pay for.

I'm not sure if it's true but, I've heard that the company that Fender sued in Germany, was a Chinese manufacturer that made counterfeits.

The videos are silly. People are either gonna buy Fender products are they won't. If the community wanted to actually make a change, then they would be advising people to not buy FMIC products. FMIC doesn't give a damn about YouTube "stars." They do give a damn about their bottom line. Mess with that and you will get a serious response.

In two months, all of these "influencers" crying will be releasing videos raving about the newest Fender product.

Right. But I feel like I read on here recently someone saying 27 times in a different thread that a Friedman or a Bad Cat were much better choices than a Marshall JCM800.
In this case amps mentioned cost less or the Sam's and are better Built and better Quality than overseas junk Made by Marshall nowadays......

Best part is they are Made/Built in the States.....

Just like Fenders baby
